To be fair though it's more that recent games (Skyrim being a prime example) don't exploit modern PCs than consoles keeping up.  When you fire up a properly modern engine (like say Frostbite 2 under Battlefield 3) on PC the difference is stark.

Don't get me wrong, I still very much like what consoles can deliver, but they are a lot further behind technically than it seems - it's ust few games push the envelope now on PC as most are simply console ports (again Skyrim being a prime example).

I said much better. Which you all missed.

I have standards. I can't play a game with pre-PS2 graphics. That means all DS and most PSP games. But I'm not a graphic whore either.

It's true though that consoles are holding back the PC. But then again the only recent PC exclusive I can think of that exploit it well is The Witcher 2.

Too bad it seems to be limited by youtube video quality (even at 1080p)

But it looks like it's running smoothly so good news :)
(Thought it would be a mess cuz of all the bad rep it's been getting XP)

BF3's graphics are full of special effects like Bloom for example , its the same issue i have with Witcher 2 , ever saw how the sun looks like in Witcher 2 compared to Skyrim's ? , Witcher 2's sun looks like a nuklear bomb setting off in the background with all the overdone bloom effects, while skyrim's sun looks like a sun, same with the ridicilous motion blur on that game, its hilarious when you move the mouse,

here you can see  The Witcher 2 in all it's motion blur goodness (joking obviously! but i hope you get the picture)

and Deus Ex , Two Worlds 2 , Portal 2 (basically all Valve games) , Mass Effect , Dragon Age ... the list goes on really.

I meant all the people saying it was riddled with bugs... It may be buggy, but looking at your vid it seems to be playable enough

Still doesn't make the console version crappy (which was my original point).

i know that , but i'm talking about going overboard with special effects versus having something that looks good and easy on the eyes to look at.
