I feel sorry for any hurt, some people go crazy over this stuff. Wasn't a woman trampled to death a few years ago?

I'm not mad at either of them, I just find it amusing. I'm aware this is an anecdotal thread, I'm just suprised people think just because it is though, they'll extrapolate for the entire country, just seems incredibly pointless to me! |
I'm just surprised that you'd spend so much time sitting under a bridge waiting for billy goats to come trip trapping across. It just seems incredibly pointless to me!
Wow... that is unbelievable.
So, people really get crazy on BF... that is so sad.

Yeah Boxing day is busy in Canada, but never in Canada does violence occur.
With 150+ million shopping over the the next 3 days, craziness will ensue.
Here in Canada its rather tame, way busier then usual as people will shop today and especially on the weekend.
Just left Target in Little Rock Arkansas. 1 Gears of War 3 360 bundle left. 1 each of PS3 holiday bundle, uncharted 3 bundle, move bundle. 3 Wii NSMBWii No Kinects be found.
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

lol I ove how people use anecdotal evidence to say something is gonna be huge. PS3 did 300k last BF, Wii did 600k and so did 360 .. can't see PS3 being a 'major seller' as always people see what they want to believe. |
Lol, I love how people enter a thread about anectdotal evidence and their thoughts on it, and instead of offering anything to the thread, they decide to critisize people for contributing to the thread. As with Joel's thread, if all you're going to do is offer criticism to posters, without adding anything to the thread, just leave.
Also, I could bring up Holiday '09. You know, where BF week the PS3 sold ~486K in Americas, while the 360 only sold ~354K, for a difference of ~132K in the PS3's favor.

Americas /= USA. I have contribuited, I gave my condolences to the people hurt
But really, I know what you meant by your comment. PS3 has always been last BF though (In the U.S), I don't think 300/400k can be classed as 'huge' with the Walmart deal as well I imagin Wii will be above it.

Except that the US counts for ~80-85% of the sales in America, especially on Black Friday week. Which means the PS3 beat the 360 that year for Black Friday. Unless you have proof otherwise? I do have this article from VGChartz here. Sure, it's talking all of Americas, but they still illustrates how big PS3 was that year.
