I´ve wondered about this for a very long time too. I´d actually buy a DSIXL, but not for 169€. Maybe after a 3DS redesign next year they officially drop the price.

Yep i agree that they may want to get as much cash as they can until tehy still selling and problably have a dastric price drop next year for DSiXL and stopping production of DSlite and DSi.

The DS models still sell well, so there's no reason for Nintendo to drop the price, especially because they need all the money they can get right now.

You think with all the money Nintendo has in their savings, they would open up new game studios or try to get 3rd party exclusives. Did they even try this gen?
