there multiplatform games and uncharted is a new ip this gen cod isn't and elder scrolls sold that on both consoles it got easily outsold on the ps3

and did you forget uncharted keeps selling more and more each installment? uncharted 3 should end up with around 6-7m sold, but calling a game that is longer "better" is just a joke because your comparing apples to oranges

How does those games being multiplatform and "old" IPs change my arguement in any way? I'm saying that people will rather buy Skyrim or Modern Warfare over Uncharted 3. Uncharted 3 is a smaller franchise than those two, no matter how you look at it.

You really can't tell a pattern from TWO games, there is no pattern yet. I have no doubts that Uncharted 3 will sell more than Uncharted 2, but saying that "uncharted keeps selling more and more each installment" when you are only basing this on Uncharted 2 selling more than Drake's Fortune, is stupid. And there is more content, you can't deny that. You get more bang for your buck by buying Skyrim than Uncharted 3. Gamers do choose between games, them being apples and oranges doesn't matter mean that the apple crowd will only buy apples and the orange crowd will only buy oranges.

thats your opinion one which i happen to disagree with, there are no online modes in skyrim and no split screen if that isn't your thing well thats awesome but that doesn't mean its the same for others

the same goes for your comment on CoD i happen to like the gameplay mechanics in uc more than CoD and its also possible that others feel the same, but the way you're speaking its as if all or the vast majority of people should fall into your expectations in terms of tastes in games, however, the world doesn't work like that

On a pure content level there is more stuff in Skyrim, you can keep playing for much longer before treading old ground, that is not an opinion. Yes, you can play the same multiplayer maps over and over again, but you can do the exact same with Skyrim, you can play the game over a couple of times, spend a good 1000 hours on it.

I love how you're talking about my taste when I don't even like CoD, I'm a fan of Uncharted. Yes, some people feel that way, most don't. How do I know? idk, I found some sales numbers on some strange site. Who woulda thunk?

"On a pure content level there is more stuff in Skyrim"

wheres the split screen? team deathmatch? free for all? coop? oh yeah there's no multiplayer at all... determining which content holds higher priority just comes down to the preferences of the individual in question

edit : sure the game is played on the same environments online but its not just the environment that makes the experience it also comes down to the players themselves who through their unique actions will make each match a different experience

"I love how you're talking about my taste when I don't even like CoD" i was talking about this comment

"If people want an online game, most of them will buy MW3 over Uncharted 3 lol"

all i'm saying is that there are people who will prefer uc online to CoD of course most will prefer CoD from a sales standpoint but the same could be said of more people preffering wii fit as a single player experience than most games including skyrim from a sales standpoint... so what?

I'm going to ignore everything but the last paragraph because the other stuff is silly. So what? Look at the thread we're in, it's about Uncharted 3's second week sales dropping significantly. I'm trying to give a reason as to why it didn't sell as much as most seemed to have expected. CoD and Skyrim being much bigger games than Uncharted 3 is definitely a factor, which is why I'm going from a sales standpoint.

the other thing is how is skyrim a bigger game if we refer to ps3? both uncharteds outsold oblivion by a wide margin and uc 3 had the same number of preorders before the elease as skyrim, so in that regard you never had a point... i don't know the first week sales of skyrim for ps3 but i doubt they were greater than uncharted 3 first week

i've seen your posts before and from what i've seen you seem to enter uncharted threads just to bash the game

"I'm going to ignore everything but the last paragraph because the other stuff is silly"

which stuff you mean this "more people preffering wii fit as a single player experience than most games including skyrim"? its the truth though wii fit has sold nearly 23 million

So now gamers can only own one console? And lol, you "debunked" one side of my double-sided-arguement and you say that I didn't have a point? What about Modern Warfare 3? This game sold more first week on Ps3 ALONE than Uncharted will for months.

My posts? Are you referring to the ones where I've said I want Naughty Dog to do something else next generation? I'm unsure how I'm bashing Uncharted for wanting Naughty Dog, who have tons of potential, to do something new. Uncharted 3 was predictable, in my opinion they should move on to something else. Other than that I've just said that it was predictable, which it was, or that I was dissapointed, which I was. I'm far from an Uncharted hater, Drake's Fortune used to be my favourite Ps3 game back in the day, and Uncharted 2 was amazing.

And yes, Wii Fit has sold nearly 23 million copies. I'm not sure why you're bringing that up, as far as I know a new Wii Fit didn't release this week. If it really makes you happy though, then alrighty: Wii Fit has sold more copies than the Uncharted franchise will combined on the Ps3, according to Mr. o_O.Q  is by far the better single-player experience.

I never said it was a flop. It's a sequel to a highly acclaimed game which gets inferior sales than it deserves. Compare it to Gears of War.
Gears 1: 1m FW
Gears 2: 2m FW
Gears 3: 3m FW

Why can't Uncharted do like that? I'm just wondering.

uncharted 3 shipped 3.8m first week and sold around 1.3m fw so it beat gears 1 if it's undertracked like i think it is it will beat gears 2 plus uncharted has far far better legs then gears of war

How can you say Uncharted has better legs? None of the Uncharted games have out legged a Gears of War.

Also, safe bet Uncharted has seen more bundling.

Trying to decifer his mess of a post, I think he means UC has a higher ratio of Legs:Opening than Gears.

i cannot believe you guys think this game isn't undertracked? sony wouldn't ship 3.8m so quik if it wasn't gonna sell well! uncharted 3 will sell all of that 3.8m by years end

Well it took just over a year for U2 to sell 3.8 million.

Perhaps Sony anticipates retailers doing a lot of U3 bundling this Black Friday?

ofcourse that but uncharted has to be undertracked this is one of sonys on proven series to keep doing better, i think if uncharted 4 was on the ps3 it would sell around 7.5-8m or if it's a ps4 launch title it would end up with around 5m ltd depending on how good the console is

uncharted is deffiantly playstations gears of war but gears isn't even ip owned so that could leave if xbox does bad next gen

Wishful thinking that could probably only happen with massive bundling.

uncharted is a ps3 exclusive... so i don't see what this has to do with sales on other consoles

"What about Modern Warfare 3?"

i aknowledged this, but for the most part you were reffering to skyrim

"My posts?"

i was reffering to posts like this

"The Uncharted Multi-Player IS tacked on, and average"

and as i mentioned before i can respect that you prefer games like CoD or don't like multiplayer, but that in no way means that the multiplayer in uc is subpar it just means it isn't for you
