Uncharted 3 will be $29.99 in a few weeks in NA (Black Friday sale). That's why the week 2 drop is bigger (and probably week 3 also) .

i cannot believe you guys think this game isn't undertracked? sony wouldn't ship 3.8m so quik if it wasn't gonna sell well! uncharted 3 will sell all of that 3.8m by years end

Well it took just over a year for U2 to sell 3.8 million.

Perhaps Sony anticipates retailers doing a lot of U3 bundling this Black Friday?

ofcourse that but uncharted has to be undertracked this is one of sonys on proven series to keep doing better, i think if uncharted 4 was on the ps3 it would sell around 7.5-8m or if it's a ps4 launch title it would end up with around 5m ltd depending on how good the console is

 

uncharted is deffiantly playstations gears of war but gears isn't even ip owned so that could leave if xbox does bad next gen

Well yeah, why would you want to buy Uncharted 3 when you can instead buy Skyrim, which has a much longer campaign and it can last you a lot longer. More variety, etc. And before you mention online: If people want an online game, most of them will buy MW3 over Uncharted 3 lol. I'm shocked that Uncharted 3 even managed to get that amount of sales, considering what it was up against, I know I sure wouldn't pick Uncharted 3 over the other two.

I love the "genre" you gave Uncharted 3 lol. And no, I did not forget that Uncharted is close to selling 5 million copies. The Ps3 is my platform of choice, I update myself on the sales numbers every week. Did you forget that Oblivion sold over five and a half million copies on consoles alone? And that Black Ops sold over 25 million copies?

there multiplatform games and uncharted is a new ip this gen cod isn't and elder scrolls sold that on both consoles it got easily outsold on the ps3

and did you forget uncharted keeps selling more and more each installment? uncharted 3 should end up with around 6-7m sold, but calling a game that is longer "better" is just a joke because your comparing apples to oranges
