we'll know for sure when Nov. NPD drops in mid Dec. or if sony announce that they need to ship more on top of the 3.8M
i personally feel that it is undertracked but to a degree that it wont really matter (few 100k) when/if corrected
either way i feel that the game series is a disappointment after DF mainly b/c of the gameplay switch and UC3 will most likely not achieve the sales that i and others boasted about here on VGC earlier. tbh i knew it do about 3.5 by years end way before most the 4M thread was made on UC2s thread anniversary and decided to double the amount from the epic 2M thread also made by me, b/c 3.5M is kinda cheap to say and wanted to go with a solid number with no decimal point, so it was going to be either 3 or 4M so i decided to take a leap a faith and go with 4M
i feel that instead of targeting UC soley we need to target SONY exclusives altogether this gen, they are to me a disappointment that "needs to be talked about" alot of the exclusives failed to meet sales and score expectations as well as user expectations ie. KZ, GT5, Resistance, Socom ect. and alot never even made to release getaway, 8 days and ubisofts exclusive

I fully agree about the Sony exclusives not meeting expectations argument, however i think its safe to say that Uncharted is the exception to that. U3 will cross 5 million LT thats for sure, and in doing so meet or exceed U2 sales, which is a success in my opinion. Perhaps not the growth some of use here wanted to see...but a success none the less.
I look at all the other exclusives of Sony: Motorstorm, Little Big planet, Killzone, Resistance, etc. the design decisions made for those games were a bit off. They lack accessibility. Motorstorm was unique. Little Big Planet platforming feels floaty, and concentrates more on designing stages (not something most people like to do), killzone 2's laggy controls really dented the prospects of the franchise, and Resistance is another unique game. All of those franchises have a shrinking fan base.
But i think Uncharted and God of war 3 (an already established franchise) got it right this gen. God of war 3 was never gonna sell too much, and Uncharted is already a success with a solid fanbase. To be honest uncharted is looking like the only new franchise Sony can take into the next gen.
Gran turismo is a whole other story on its own
I also think we jumping the gun on Uncharted 3 sales performance, this is only second week prelimenary data afterall, and its facing some heavy competition.
