"CoD and Skyrim being much bigger games than Uncharted 3 is definitely a factor"

the other thing is how is skyrim a bigger game if we refer to ps3? both uncharteds outsold oblivion by a wide margin and uc 3 had the same number of preorders before the elease as skyrim, so in that regard you never had a point... i don't know the first week sales of skyrim for ps3 but i doubt they were greater than uncharted 3 first week

i've seen your posts before and from what i've seen you seem to enter uncharted threads just to bash the game

"I'm going to ignore everything but the last paragraph because the other stuff is silly"

which stuff you mean this "more people preffering wii fit as a single player experience than most games including skyrim"? its the truth though wii fit has sold nearly 23 million

So now gamers can only own one console? And lol, you "debunked" one side of my double-sided-arguement and you say that I didn't have a point? What about Modern Warfare 3? This game sold more first week on Ps3 ALONE than Uncharted will for months.

My posts? Are you referring to the ones where I've said I want Naughty Dog to do something else next generation? I'm unsure how I'm bashing Uncharted for wanting Naughty Dog, who have tons of potential, to do something new. Uncharted 3 was predictable, in my opinion they should move on to something else. Other than that I've just said that it was predictable, which it was, or that I was dissapointed, which I was. I'm far from an Uncharted hater, Drake's Fortune used to be my favourite Ps3 game back in the day, and Uncharted 2 was amazing.

And yes, Wii Fit has sold nearly 23 million copies. I'm not sure why you're bringing that up, as far as I know a new Wii Fit didn't release this week. If it really makes you happy though, then alrighty: Wii Fit has sold more copies than the Uncharted franchise will combined on the Ps3, according to Mr. o_O.Q  is by far the better single-player experience.

"So now gamers can only own one console? And lol, you "debunked" one side of my double-sided-arguement"

uncharted is a ps3 exclusive... so i don't see what this has to do with sales on other consoles

"What about Modern Warfare 3?"

i aknowledged this, but for the most part you were reffering to skyrim

"My posts?"

i was reffering to posts like this

"The Uncharted Multi-Player IS tacked on, and average"

and as i mentioned before i can respect that you prefer games like CoD or don't like multiplayer, but that in no way means that the multiplayer in uc is subpar it just means it isn't for you

But we are not comparing sales just to compare sales here, it is to show a reason as to why there was such a decline in the second week sales of Uncharted 3. If someone owns a 360 AND a Ps3 (crazy thought, right? Nobody would do something like that!) they might still pick Skyrim on 360 over Uncharted 3 while in the store. Therefore it still counts. Loads of people own a Ps3 and a 360.

I was never mentioning Skyrim "for the most part", I was using them both as part of the same example. I thought I already said this.

That's kinda taken out of context. The Uncharted multiplayer IS tacked on, it is preliminary a singleplayer game. Naughty Dog acknowledges this, look at the trophy list for Uncharted 3, how many of them are for the singleplayer vs. the multiplayer? It was designed as a singleplayer game, the multiplayer is second banana.

Now I'm not sure if you're talking to me anymore, but I do not prefer CoD to Uncharted. I have bought all of the Uncharted games, while I've only bought the original and Modern Warfare from the CoD series. I have enjoyed the Uncharted multiplayer, I'm rank 16 currently, but it seems obvious to me that this mode was not meant to be the main appeal.

What do you need to talk about? It's not like the discussion will magically change how the sales figures play out.

Its almost as if the fastest selling game of all time and the fastest selling WRPG of all time released this week. Weird.

This.

i'm not saying this wouldn't have an impact but lol i don't think it would have as great an impact as what you're suggesting

"The Uncharted Multi-Player IS tacked on, and average"

lol are you really trying to convince me that you weren't bashing the multiplayer when you posted this? as i said if you don't like it thats cool but regardless all i'm saying is that just because it doesn't suit you doesn't mean its " tacked on, and average"

"but I do not prefer CoD to Uncharted"

"considering what it was up against, I know I sure wouldn't pick Uncharted 3 over the other two."

what can i say? i'm confused

so you believe that Uncharted 3 2nd week is less than half of Uncharted 2's.

and you believe Uncharted 1 drakes fortune had i bigger second week than Uncharted 3.

Most of you may have read the previews for Uncharted 3. I seriously don't think MW3 and Skyrim can do so much damage to Uncharted 3 sales and hardly make an affect to Battlefield 3 sales. Most probably it's undertracked though. Anyone have any UC3 sales information other than the VGC previews? Sad that the week 2 is a huge drop compared to other big games like MGS4, God of War 3 and Uncharted 2.

So from the previews we have 160,000 in americas 150,000 in EMEAA and 27,000 in Japan for a preliminaary total of 337,000 that could easily go up.  Uncharted 2 sold 339,000 its second week.  So sligtly more than the preliminary data but pretty mcuh flat. Take into acount 2 of the 3 regions are up over U2 week two with only EMEAA being down, that region being hardest to track could easily be more.

Now if you are talking % drop from week one to week two I must wonder why? Between week one and the preliminary week 2 data it's sold more in 2 weeks than U2 did in 4.  It is selling better than it's predesesory so who cares if week one drop is more?  we should be more interested in how it does long term anyway.

where did any numbers show it to be less than half? add up the prewiews and the difference is less than 1% see the numbers in my last post

well over 12.3 million + 4 million copies of MW3 and Elder Scrolls were sold last week.

It was an epic week.

Well, that is odd.

I didn't know that:

340k = 1/2 of 380k

According to this site UC3 only dropped two spots and is still ahead of BF3 (multiplat). I don't know if this is WorldWide Europe, or America though. Here is the link:
