Hope it will sell well, it would benefit 3DS as a whole. Where I live many new 3rd party DS games already costed 45e, paying 50 wouldn't be a big difference if you're really interested in the game.

If you guys read it it said that they had to use a bigger 3DS cart then the usual which ups the price. And wasn't everyone saying how great this game looks and how it looks like the best looking game on the 3DS.
With all those features and extras and production values they are putting in it I say the price is justified. Just like how FF4 remake on DS had a higher price since it featured voice acting and movies.
Eeh... Don't worry, a year later this game just came out for Vita, Ps3, and even Wii U of course with HD version. So if this price bothering you, just be patience for every single capcom game.

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped: the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA
bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.
If it's functionally on the level with Resident Evil 4, which we're still pretty certain is worth $50 given the re-releases, then i don't see why not
Obviously Capcom will have to pay the price long-term for its decision, however.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
This will really have to be a wait and see.
Interesting timing, what with the prices of iPhone/Android games threatening to turn the industry upside down. Further.

you can exercise some self control and just not buy it, or at the very least wait for a price drop
"A true console experience on a handheld device"
I didn't notice this at first. This should seem familiar to anyone paying attention to the PSP hype up to its first year.
They are still trying to pull that on us, even though the PSP turned around when it stopped trying to do that. And despite what some might think, avoiding that was a major part of the why the Gameboy systems were hits.
This is a stupid strategy, because it was already proven stupid just over 5 years ago.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
