VERACRUZ, Mexico (AP) — An Internet video is threatening Mexico's Zetas drug cartel with exposure of its allies in the police and news media unless the gang frees a kidnapped Mexican member of the international hacker movement known as "Anonymous." The statement is presented in the name of Anonymous by someone wearing a mask, but there is no way to authenticate the message's origin. The statement refers to an abduction in the coastal city of Veracruz without identifying the victim. It then threatens to release names, photos and property of Zetas allies in the area on Nov. 5 if the kidnapped activist is not freed or is harmed. The video appears to have been posted in early October. It was first reported Friday by the global intelligence think tank Stratfor.

Once they get the guy back they should just expose them all anyways.
Anonymous is actually quite powerful by the looks of it.

I seriously doubt los zetas know who anonymous is much less know who they kidnapped, If they do have this information I hope it can put a serious dent into these parasites of human beings!

As far as I know anonymous doing hacktivism/activism is pretty recent.
