He went to PAX a few months back ,and only to the Nintendo booths.

  his threads about nintendo at pax were really good.  he likes to type a lot we all know that, but it was very interesting nonetheless. 


Hey easy there I am far from a fanboy. I prefer Nintendo as my favorite company and think that their business model is the best of the three. However I am far from a fanboy, I'll admit a few years back I was one but definitely am not today. However the plus side of being named a fan boy I am sort of relieved because earlier this year I was accused of being anti-Nintendo and called the D00MZ guy. So to see the general user base doesn't view me in that light is a relief.

As for Spurgeonryan's comment about PAX. Spurge man I thought you have been following my threads for a while now. I visited all three companies booths and did write reviews about each companies performances at PAX and the products I was able to try. In fact I spent over a day and a half of the three days in the Sony booth (Review Here) I spent about half a day at Microsoft's booth and Halo Fest with half a day at the Nintendo booth and half a day checking out all the other companies booths. I was all over the place a rest assured I played nearly every major game at the conference.

Also I notice many are mentioning Rol and a few years back I would have agreed. However in the last two years he has become extremely negative about Nintendo and the way they operate and the products they produce. He thinks the 3DS line-up is foolish, he thinks Nintendo should have made NewSuperMarioBros3D before SuperMario3DLand. He is critical of Nintendo's policies about bringing software to North America. He does not believe in Nintendo's belief that there are different segments of gamers that include what Nintendo calls hardcore and casual.The only pro Nintendo comments I see these days are jokes, he is more interested in Rol'ing users and using sarcasm then actually supporting Nintendo or there products.

In fact I don't think many Nintendo fan boys exist on VGChartz. Those that do don't have reputations and they are laughed out of the site. Am I one of the biggest Nintendo supporters on VGChartz? probably, but fanboy I am not.

Still, I don't really think that fanboyism on vgchartz is out-of-control rabid. Except for Selnor :p

Those are the biggest two I can think of.

Regarding EGC, I don't think it is so much that he likes Nintendo, but rather that he despises Sony with a passion. I don't really recall him ever speaking much about Nintendo games and he doesn't like me either. That's a combination that doesn't really exist for a Nintendo fan, because the few who don't like me at all still talk a lot about Nintendo. I think he's more of a 360 fan who just wants to see Sony go down in flames.

I see, so even though he doesn't care for NIntendo he predicted 3DS would sell 300m+ just to kick Sony out. That's hardcore.

Now that I think about it it makes sense, because I also remember him saying GT5 would sell 2.2 million or something like that.

Ha, that was a very stupid prediction, quite delusional.

When exactly did he leave?...I remember he was part of the VGChartz staff that covered E3 2009, but after that I think he disappeared.

I'm not sure, though I do know it's been a while since he's logged in (and even longer since he's actually been active) - He was a really great guy, a shame he's not active anymore
