HW: nice week everyone, very nice for PS3, 3DS, Wii and PS2

SW: very good week everyone, excellent for PS3 and I'd say for PC too, but PC is very partially tracked.

It looks like we're finally really entering the best part of the year.

WOW!

Ratchet and Clank All 4 One did 78k for it's 1st week in America

to be honest i was expecting this game to push like 100k worlwide 1st week at max

I am sure that the Wii will destroy the other systems' sells this holiday. It is a system which is being pushed by retailers and big stores like K-Mart. When a parent asks what could be a good present for my kids, the Wii shows up. Little kids also ask their parents for the system as present from Santa.

In fact, even when I see low sells for the Wii through the duration of the year, I see it as a charge, an expectancy for the holidays from this little consumers which will finally have on their hands what they want, once their parents open up their wallets for Xmas.



Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

I'm talking about October. I don't see why it would suddenly rise by more than 30% when no new game comes out, while the other consoles only get a 7-15% boost when a really big game releases.

Hope is not as bad as 3DS last month.

Taking install bases into account, "just" the first week sales of halo 3 crushed total worldwide sales of every single ps3 and xbox 360 exclusive to come out in the last 2 years combined. Now are you telling me that is meaningful in any way, because if not neither is your comment.

And besides even with install bases taken into account, most multiplatform games this year sold better on the 360.

 

Anyway as for the sales. Good numbers all around. Looks like the wii is going to end up winning another holiday season. With the wii u coming out next year this will probably be the last time.

Why PS3 is down YOY? Last month NPD showed it was up 20%, so this month it wont even sell on par with last year? I dont think so.

There are adjustments... this week will be UP YoY in future .
