The Saboteur
The original Uncharted, inFamous and Valkyria Chronicles all jump out at me

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
Mirror's Edge instantly comes to mind...oh and Halo 3 too.
lost Odyssey's metacritic seems like a sick joke.
Vanquish deserved a lot more sales. People who complain about how short the game is don't understand the whole point of this type of game is to try to improve your high score like an arcade game. In fact I wish I could play it at my local arcade.

How did I forget about that game?! Absolutely brilliant game, with an excellent art direction.
Underrated by critic:
Motorstorm series (especially Apocalypse)
Infamous 2 (waaay better than the first, deserves a 90+ metascore imo)
Just Cause 2 (again, this game is a blast, deserves 90+)
Underrated by sales:
Motorstorm Apocalypse (come on, WTF??)
Top Spin 4
Vanquish
Modnation Racers (call it LittleBigPlanet Racers and it would have sold 2m)
Dirt 3
Game of the year 2017 so far:
5. Resident Evil VII

i have no doubt that you enjoyed these games, so did millions of people. The only problem i see with your opinon is that neither scores nor sales qualify them for being "underrated"
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Resistance 3, inFamous, Alan wake, Mirrors edge and dead island.
