Ok im talking about ground breaking stuff that changes the world

There has been more ground breaking stuff that changes the world in the past hundred years than at any time in human history. human advancement has never been at such a rate in all our history (technologically and discovery wise that is, socially is a whole seperate argument).

And you don't seem to realize that that stuff develops over time. Absolutely nothing in the world is a result of some massive, overnight discovery. The world has never changed suddenly, and it will never change suddenly.

The rate of development may seem to have accelerated over the past 150-200 years or so, but even that is something that I'm not sure will seem as true in a historical perspective.

Do you have a smart phone? Think of the things you can do with that for a second, now think about what you could do with your phone 5+ years ago...

speaking of which have you been on youtube lately? that didn't exist 7 years ago think about that

Humanity has made amazing advancements over the last few decades, it may not be faster than light travel but there are truly amazing things that we couldn't dream of 10 years ago.

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

Time between the development of the wheel to the train is a huge gap. Since then we've developed at an extremely fast rate based on our understanding and ability to process information, helped by the development of computers.

There is a hindrance of all things though in development of new technologies. Money. Things never develop without money. But that said flying cars will be the next development from the list, it involves advance technology without the AI implecations of a robot. We'd have to develop cheap and efficient fuel before then though.

One form of slavery will not disappear with the development of compititant robots. Such developments are unlikely to quell man's need for sex, sadly.

Hmm, pie.

how?

Someone must be really young to not know that since the 1980s the world has changed dramatically, all due to human inventions.

Abandoning the literal belief in ancient scripture would probably lead to some advancement.
I voted for discovering a habitable planet, but it's gonna be hard to get to it unless we make some massive advancements in space travel.

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

HIV is under control and Cancer is cureable in a lot of cases.
Flying cars exist, though they're not practical.
Mars should be a habitable planet.
For Teleportation and Light Speed Travel to be possible for humans we'd have to break the laws of physics
Finding Alien life will either be a game of chance or we've already seen it but haven't realized.

A person from 50 years ago may argue that we already have robots that think and act for themselves. True AI may only exist if we take animal brain structure and cells and slap in on a robot though, which again isn't fully artificial.
