Nice videos Goforgold, The midget video was awesome. Much more enjoyable then highlighting missing pixels.
You still forgot a feature though, the random track generator. It works best for the advanced rally stages, racing in the snow was great.

Forza 4 runs at the same output (minus 3d) without screen tear, or a drop in FPS, even at full output (dusk, 16 cars on track).
Licencing is the only benefit to GT mode, but it's far too easy. Spec B is just hiring a driver in Forza 4, optional, but not required for completion (how it should be). Less races in GT5, including Special. Copied leveling system from Forza, but still inferrior.
Custom in game music is a feature of the 360 console, so you can play any some while playing any game, and change songs in the home menu. Everything above Forza 4 has, just replace Museum with Autovista Closing: Wait wait wait? That's all GT has? What about everything else Forza offers to compete with? Oh GT5 can't compete here right? Top Gear Content - Jeremy Clarksons narraration in Auto Vista and in cinematics. Top Gear Track lap time leaderboards (Kia Cee'd, Lotus Elise). Top Gear introduced games for multiplayer (Bowling, Soccer, etc) Auto Vista - Cars models with 1 million pixels, able to take a close look into storage compartments, sit in all seats, and get a history of the car, while getting a close up view of everything. Online game types - Over 20 different game types online in Forza 4, how many in GT5, 5? Paint/Decal system - often used to paint real world race cars with. Simulation Damage, Deteriation (tire wear), and performance models, all with the ability to be adjusted to match the difficulty to your skill level. Introduction to racing aids - such as auto braking, rewind, and easy level AI for newcomers. Cars from over 80 manufacters, all with premium level quality Best of all. No minivans, even proportion of cars per manufacterer (GT5 has 7 times as many Nissans as Ferrarri. Forza 4 is abot 1:1), no joke cars like a 1980's minivan, or VW Bus. Gran Turismo 5 is the Definitve racing simulator this generation on a console. Well it was, but now it's been overthrown. When GT6 comes out, it will likely be the definitive king, but only if they return all the features GT4 had which GT5 is missing. With surpassed physics and features GT5 is a must own for anyone who doesn't have a 360, and can't play Forza 4, but are still looking for a FULL racing simulation experience. GT5 has set the standard in the past for ANY racing sim on ANY console must meet to even be considered in the same league, and now it's happened. |

GT5 is an awesome game. If you can't get the newer, better Forza 4, get GT5. The core driving mecahnics are still very very very accurate, and the graphics aren't a big fall from Forza 4. Although Top Gear, Go-Kart, NASCAR only make a small appearance in GT5, they are still fun for the hour or two of races they offer. Rally racing has taken a backseat in GT5, which is sad because that used to be a big selling point of the franchise.
If you just want to drive a good sim, GT5 is more then good enough. It was the best for the year after it's realease, but it's still great, just dated and outpaced by newer titles.

However, GT5 drops in FPS even in ideal conditions, where Forza 4 remains at a constant 60FPS. On top of other points, they argue Forza 4 is a better looking game. Heck they said Forza 3 looks nearly as good as GT5.

Want to argue physics? Read a professional review by a car magazine. Most say they are on par.

Turn 10 is twice the size of PD, and been working on Forza games for 360 just as long. Many more man-hours have been put into Forza 4 then GT5. What you are basically saying, is the bed sheet with the lower thread count is softer and better quality, when in reality you just like the brand of the sheet more.
Back you into a corner, and you can't even admit defeat. Geez man, let it go. You like GT5 better, but the metascore and graphics score on individual sites is lower then Forza 4. The gaming industry accepts Forza 4 as a better game, and car and track analysts say the physics are on par.
The industry has changed since 2001, GT5 isn't even are remotly good as GT3/GT4 were when they released. Polyphony has forgotten many aspects which made GT great, and Forza has really developed.

Would just like to point out, GT5 doesn't run upscaled 720p.
