After finishing U3, I don't think it's a TPS at all. Hell, for half the game, you barely shoot anything. The gunfights you do have are quickly over. I'd say about a third of the game (or less) is spent shooting.

Uncharted 1:  Heavy focus on shooting.

Uncharted 2: Heavy focus on story and shooting

Uncharted 3: Heavy focus on story and puzzles.

Good to know

Wow @M.U.G.E.N in this thread. Not often I see an established member get that ferocious.

I actually agree with the whole "Jack of all trades" thing. It's got a lot of different elements: TPS, platforming, puzzle, probably some others, but I would never call it the greatest in any of these. Actually I'd say that it's pretty average in all. The overall product is great though, I would classify it as an action game personally, since that seems to be main focus of the game, to just make a kickass game with constant action. I never really understood where the "adventure" part came. I mean, yeah, the characters are on an adventure, but you're not. I would never call a linear game for an adventure game, but that might just be me.

It's a meta-genre, an all-encompassing narrative of all games ever created.

It's that good.
