Marvelous AQL has opened an official site for Keiji Inafune's new 3DS action RPG King of Pirates, and surprise surprise, it's in English! Check the site out here.

The site contains background story, concept images (no actual game screens have been released yet), the trailer that we shared earlier, and a message from Inafune himself. Inafune's message is surprisingly long and deep for a game about pirate penguins, so definitely give it a read.

Although the site is available in English, the fine print says that the game is, as of October 2011, currently only planned for release in Japan.

Dangit Galaki I was in the middle of creating a thread about this new game, when I decided to use my second tab to see what was going on on the boards. Just to realize you beat me by a matter of minutes. Arrrg, but honestly this game looks amazing Kotaku said its aimed at children but it looks like a game I would enjoy playing too. I'd like to see some actual game play before I make my final decision whether to purchase or not. However this trailer definitely has me intrigued!

Could be interesting, depending on what happens with the core gameplay.

Haha it looks pretty cool, I love pirates and I love animals so this is a win win for me. I'll keep my eyes open for this one.
