I myself don't like many video game movies all that much, usually they fall flat on their faces like most Movie based games do. However I am a huge Resident Evil fan I own every single movie in the series. I also enjoyed the Tomb Raider films but am scared about the next one slated to release in the future, since they seem to be looking for a hot girl over one who can act. I love many so I'll list my top 5 film series based on video games!

#1. Resident Evil

#2. Pokemon (how did you miss this film series Spurgeonryan its only the most successful film franchise based on a game ever made)

#3. Tomb Raider

#4.Prince of Persia: Sands of time

#5.Hitman

I actually enjoyed all five of those films or series. I watch almost every game based film I can get my hands on, but I must say Uwe Boll single handedly destroyed the credibility of game based movies. Uwe's horrible directing and writers and his love of ruining as many game series as possible is the reason most users here hate video game based movies.

Man i suggest you watch Final Fantasy advent children (FFVII movie) cloud strife and sephiroth(the best Hero and villain), if you play ffVII you will really enjoy watching this movie. all character are there. story line and graphics is good. i wonder if my previous game will make a movie Uncharted Water Online, Russell Crowe will be fit on this scene. bcoz he make Master and Commander before...  

Iron Man was a great movie based game. Its weird though because the movie came out as soon as the game came out. Kind of a conspiracy if you ask me.

Mortal Kombat... and I didn't know Dragonball Evolution is a movie based on a game. lol

As much as I love Super Mario Bros the Movie I think Mortal Kombat is the best video game movie EVER!

The fact that its was just different. It was a unique spin on a 2d platformer with a decent story. Movie was full of cheese but the good kind of cheese. Like monzerella.

I haven't exactly seen a lot, but for me it is definitely one of the Pokemon movies
