On fire?? They won because of a missed field goal that my 90 yr old granny could make. Worst part is they were the home team. Brady threw about 4 picks (2 didn't count because of "flags").

Brady looked flustered the whole game and was throwing errant passes everywhere, Baltimore loss that game, Pats didn't win.

Eli isn't sick....Brady has a bad left shoulder...Giants went up against the better defensive team, on the road, in the rain and wind, on a muddy field and still won.

Manning was hit 22 times and sacked 6 times and he just kept getting up and going to work to finish that game off.

The superbowl will be a shootout no doubt but G-Men got this.

Both teams can make excuses for why they played the way they did. For example

-Gronk was ruled out of bounds when he clearly was in for a reception that would have put the Pats on the 10

-Kyle Arrington (league leader for interceptions) was out for half the game due to an eye injury leaving us with two wide recievers in the secondary

-Gronk was out for most of the second half due to the ankle injury (btw someone needs to end Pollard)

But none of that matters, What matters is that the Ravens were only able to score 10 points off three turnovers and didn't have what it takes to win the game. Oh and those extra Brady interceptions you say got called back because of flags? Both times Brady saw the flags get thrown and knew he had a free play so he just heaved it up into double coverage to see if his recievers could come down with it. I'm not saying Brady had a good game but he went up against the third best defense in the league (49ers were 4th) and frankly the Ravens made some amazing superhuman plays to come away with those inerceptions. I wouldnt count on Brady playing so shaky or Woodhead fumbling a return next week.

I was also hearing rumblings that the Pats might be a 3 point favorite in the Superbowl, but I want to know why that is.

Giants beat up Atlanta, then went on and beat the 1 and 2 seeded teams in their own buildings.
Patriots beat up a bad Bronco team and beat Baltimore, who happens to be the ONLY team over .500 that New England beat this entire year.

Then there is the fact that the Giants beat the Pats this season.

Oh well, Giants seem to do better anyways when they are the underdog.

That is the most annoying stat used by anyone in arguments against the Pats. The Patriots beat 6 teams this season that went 8-8, all of which would have had a winning season if the Patriots had lost to them (heck some they beat twice). Not to mention many of the teams the Patriots beat had a winning record and were on hot streaks when they played the Patriots, only self destructing after they played the Patriots (this could be due to Bellicheck being so good at exposing teams weaknesses that other teams take advantage).

Finally you being a Giants fan should know better than anyone that the regular season has no bearing on the outcome of a game in the playoffs

I admit that both Cruz and Nicks scare me, however here's something to mull over.

In the first half of the game against the 49ers Cruz had eight catches for 125 yards. However the 49ers adjusted at halftime and held him to just two catches for 19 yards during both the second half and overtime. Manning wasn't able to find anyone else for consistent yardage, and he went 16-of-31 for 135 yards after halftime, allowing the San Francisco pass rush to take over.

We all saw how stagnant the offenses became after the second half with the Eli's favorite receiver shut down. You have to think that the Patriots will notice this and give extra attention to Cruz. How well this will work with a Patriots secondary made up of guys cut from other teams practice squads and third string wide receivers is yet to be seen.

I'm not a Giants fan.

Both championship games were great. It's such a shame that one guy is being blamed in each of the losses. I hate to see it when one guy is singled out.

Yeah, the media likes to focus on that. It's the quick and easy answer but in reality both teams had opportunities to do things better, like usual. I agree that both were great games.

Eli is no joke either, people like to shit on him because he's goofy looking and his demeanor but I trust in Eli, a ton. Dude has been clutch not to mention tough as nails. If he plays like he's been and beats the Pats again with the Golden Boy in the SB.....I don't ever wanna hear anything negative about him again. I was so stoked that he shoved it right up Tiki's ass 4 yrs. ago.

I wouldn't count on that, even today I was hearing the media on WFAN 66.6 AM Radio, yeah. even Mike Francesa, stating that even now Eli Manning isn't on the same level as Aaron Rodgers...

I don't get it, the guy is in his second superbowl, he BEAT Aaron Rodgers in his own building, should have beat him in the regular season too, beat the 2nd best defense in the NFL, carried the team early in the year when the defense was beaten up, all while having quite possibly the hardest schedule in all the NFL.

How does Rodgers win one Superbowl and become the greatest thing since sliced bread, even when he showed that if you get him early and get him angry he could wind up beating himself, all while Eli keeps a cool demeanor regardless of what is going on out on the field.

I am convinced this guy will always get disrespected and it's a damn shame. Coould win his 2nd SB and still not be considered as good as guys who won (1) or none...

Probably because you believe that you live in the 20th century.

Last time I checked, it was 2012 so I don't see where you were going with that one.

Finally you being a Giants fan should know better than anyone that the regular season has no bearing on the outcome of a game in the playoffs

Let me recollect this season. On the Giants' schedule this year was the NFC West and the AFC East. In their own division, the Giants beat no team with a record of over .500, because there is none. In the NFC West, there was only San Francisco with a positive record to whom they lost. Against Green Bay and New Orleans, they lost. This leaves New England as the only team with a record of over .500 that they beat in the regular season. (Funnily enough, had the Patriots won that game, it wouldn't have helped to win against a team with a positive record, because it would have pushed down the Giants to 8-8 for the season.)

Then in the playoffs, the Giants beat a bad Falcons and a bad Packers team, on the weekend they lucked out against the 49ers (owe their victory to a muff).

So in summary, a Giants fan really shouldn't be talking.

That being said, I still hope they wipe the floor with the Patriots.

So that's it? Keep making excuses that the Giants beat nobody and in fact the teams beat themselves? Not our fault Errant Rodgers couldn't throw to a guy wide open because the G-Men defense had his rocked. Did you not watch the same game and see Aaron Rodgers lose his cool real early on?

The guy is extremely cocky and arrogant, these things happen and they happened because the Giants got to him.

Eli didn't throw all those TD's and get the G-Men to 37 because Rodgers missed open passes.
