yeah i remember

i also remember all they other stuff the ps3 was originally supposed to include like 2 HDMI outputs, built-in internet router, and 6 usbs

defiantly want a new designed controller from them for next gen though an extra face button wouldnt hurt either

The PS3 didn't launch with a DualShock controller.

The boomerang controller looks uncomfortable with the sticks, the shoulder buttons and Start and Select being too far to the center. It's more or less designed for the handful of people who actually thought that the original Xbox controller was good.

correct they came with sixaxis that had cheap see through plastic and no rumble the DS3 was release late 07 in japan and early 08 else where even worse they wernt even bundled with  PS3 HW till late 08

I agree though the only reason I like it better is because it reminds me of a gcn controller.

Does anyone else sort of see the resemblance?

I hear the original design was actually quite ergonomic. Not that I really have any complaints about Dualshock either... But it would have been nice to see something new and hopefully even better.
