The PS3 didn't launch with a DualShock controller.

The boomerang controller looks uncomfortable with the sticks, the shoulder buttons and Start and Select being too far to the center. It's more or less designed for the handful of people who actually thought that the original Xbox controller was good.

correct they came with sixaxis that had cheap see through plastic and no rumble the DS3 was release late 07 in japan and early 08 else where even worse they wernt even bundled with  PS3 HW till late 08
