Ok, this was always sad to me, but after my mom died of cancer it's almost unwatchable.

I haven't had a love die of AIDS, but I after all he had lost during the movie I forever find this just a gut wrenching example of how unfair life can be.  For all his experiences and riches, this simple man never forgot what mattered most ... and lost it continually.

...This

Great movie.

The ending of Requiem for a Dream. Everything goes straight to hell at the end of that movie. Not a single silver line.

Quem disse que a boca é tua?

Qual é, Dadinho...?

Dadinho é o caralho! Meu nome agora é Zé Pequeno!

That ending was more nauseating than sad.

"I don't understand how someone could like Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky, but not like Twilight!!!"

"Last book I read was Brokeback Mountain, I just don't have the patience for them unless it's softcore porn."

I found a better version of inception to embed. :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ye8G8cqu27U (the ending of The Bridges of Madison County). When I watched this movie I finally accepted that Eastwood had become one of the best (contemporary) US directors.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDFIpN6Bx3s (the ending of The Pledge directed by Sean Penn). You can only understand why this ending is incredibly sad and shocking if you've seen the whole movie.

Also: Chief kills McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

I hated In Pursuit of Happiness, it was a lot of well hidden right winged political BS... All of the liberal minded people were bad (you can't stay in this shelter! etc..), and all of the conservative people were infinitely helpful, polite, and not at all racist.

Anyways, on topic, Sad movies:

Braveheart and Titanic. No other movies really get to me except those two.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

words cannot express how much I love this movie

The Ending of atonement is probably the saddest scene for me. Just really makes me feel like crap that those two never got the chance to be happy together.
