How did the 3DS go up 5k (7%) despite a drop in SW of 13k (22%)?

Seems kinda strange.

There's a new advertising run that says basically two things: 1) it's not a DS; 2) its list price is now lower than DSi XL.

Considering that 3DS HW sales grew, but SW ones fell considerably, while DS SW sales fell very little and are more than thrice as 3DS ones, it looks like the second part of the ad succeeded, while the first part failed again, people buy 3DS HW and DS SW. Then they see the latter runs fine on the former and they feel 3DS is actually just a new DS, the first part of the ad must be obviously wrong. And so point one is caught in a catch-22 of fail. Anyway, 3DS, even if considered just another DS, is now selling well, so nevermind.

those poor clerks dont know a damn thing, i once had one swear on their mother's life that PSP would not get a camera because there was no place to put it.

its only a light hearted comment... dont take it to heart.

but to be fair... the PS2 is irrelevant unless you are from Afrika or some other emerging market.

for an outdated console it still manages to outstill xbox in japan :D

FIFA 12 will boost PS3-sales in EMEAA this week and probably next week as well, because it releases on a friday and FIFA is very big in Europe!

Welcome to this, our little troll infestation we affectionately call vgchartz. OTS, FIFA will be released for X360 also, so It will also get an extra boost, specially in the UK. It might not be a generous boost though; I dont see poeple forking over cash for any console because of FIFA (unless it's a Special Edition bundle).
