Those 3 are exactly who im talkin about, they are SONY's main 1st party developers(owned or not). I dont care what SONY's New friends are doing as thats what they came in with. I am annoyed with SONY's senior developers... I would much rather had new creative IP's using there known styles .. not obvious XBOX knock offs. SONY should of stuck to what they do best and compete on their own terms ...like Nintendo... Hell chasing XBOX around this gen is one of factors of Playstations fall... why would a company who dominated 2 gens feel so threatened by a company that barely proved to be anything at that time is beyond me.

You're acting as if Sony Santa Monica, Sony Japan, Sony London, Guerrilla Games, and Polyphony Digital aren't just as important as the others you mentioned.

It's arguable Sony Japan and Polyphony Digital are Sony's two most important studios, given the quantity of output of the former and the sales of the latter.  Sony Santa Monica is right up there with them, given both the quantity and quality of their output (they've had a hand in almost every PSN game published by SCEA).

??? Ill be more i was talking about KZ3 to KZ2, LBP2- LBP ext ..not comparing to previous IP's

even more clear edit - the latest installments in ech of those series have sold far less then there predecessors

forgot forgot abot MNR.. that just bombed

huh? and how exactly is ps2 any better?

Jak 2 almost completely abandaned the first game's forumla and became a GTA rip off (which is another western game btw), and sold much less;

R&C and Sly were both on the decline since the 1st game.

and I almost chocked on the irony when you first used an article about Uncharted, then used decline in sales as an argument to what consumers want, care to check the sale of Uncharted 1 vs Uncharted 2??

Am I the only one who really wants to see how Uncharted with a fantasy setting would look like?

I'd love to as well.  Apparently their original designs involved dragons.  Anything involving dragons is awesome.

I really would love to see them take a crack at a Tolkien-esque artstyle.  Though I fear they'd make it look somewhat like Jak, which would be similar to Warcraft.  I'd prefer either something more realistic like Dark Souls, or something totally off the wall like Borderlands.

May I interest you two in these?

*coverarts*

Already have the Witcher 2, and Elder Scrolls games are generally too bloated and boring for my tastes (I much prefer a few intricately designed dungeons like in Zelda or Demon's Souls over the giant, sprawling, repetitive dungeon designs found in games like the Elder Scrolls and Dragon Quest).

I don't know much about the Reckoning and the jury's still out on Dragon's Dogma.  It's a Capcom game, afterall.

Wot's wrong with Capcom?

Capcom hasn't exactly put out the best games lately? You played Lost Planet 2?

Yeah, the first one was better, but I did enjoy Dead Rising 2.
