I am not talking in terms of graphics, but overall. I honestly think Batman Arkham City, Skyward Sword, Assassin's Creed Revelations and Super Mario 3D Land looks better  than Uncharted 3

The only one of those games I've seen in real life is Batman Arkham Assylum, and while it does have a great aesthetic element overall I'd have to give the looks to UC2 between the 2. But overall looks prize for me goes to Valkyria Chronicles and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2. VC = Beautiful, NSUNS2 = excellent fidelity to the source material.

give me one thing that was cliche about the story in either Uncharted 1 or 2.

 

Uncharted games have FAR above average story lines to say the least. calling them generic and cliched proves your bias or misunderstanding of the story.

we can already confirm 3 of 5 of those things (3, 4, and 5)

and can almost confirm the 1st one, just by looking at gameplay footage.

and we can infer the 2nd one by basing it off the previous 2 games, and watching the released story trailers.

You always have an agenda when it comes to anything Sony and resort to bashing everytime you get with your thread creation. I will gladly take the ban for bashing a guy like you but then I hope the mods wake up and look at your entire anti Sony crusade. Nolan North has proven to be an excellent voice actor and has shown consistency, even in your beloved Halo game. Sully and Elena are back and they have both shown consistency throughout the series so yes the voice acting is confirmed. The beta was a small taste and it got fair praises as far as the mp and the improvements made from 1 to 2 so yes that is confirmed which ties into replay value, and from this build the graphics are still a step ahead of gears whether you like it or not (and I know you actually HATE IT) so deal with it or gtfo. Unless you have something valid to say there is no point in you being in this thread. Since I am a nice guy let me help you: "Gears 3 can also be a contender, and although it may lag behind graphically by not too much of a margin, it makes up with the improvements within the multiplayer. It no longer suffers from 'my shotgun is stronger than yours' from the previous game, plus we have the interactive environments from the thrashball stadium that make it very fun. The story is definitely improved which could most likely make it go toe to toe with Uncharted 3, and the popularity it has gained along with the hype may end up favoring it. Personally I was never big on Uncharted, and have seen Gears' cover system as well refined on fire fights which may give it an edge" THAT is how you engage in a discussion fanboy.

P.S. I will miss the rest of you guys during ban duration as I am ready for Kantor or one of the other mods to ram me hard, but I hope they pay closer attention to this guy's antics.

P.P.S. If BF3 improves upon the formula that made BF 2 so great on the PC, I could see that as a great contender. I could also see Dark Souls as a legitimate contender thanks to Demon's Souls growing popularity. It's a shame not to see Skyward Sword this year as I am pretty sure it could have faired well.

Well, Uncharted 3 is a GOTY contender and will win plenty of awards, but let's be honest, this year it has a TON more competition (than U2 had).
We have Batman (more hyped than the first one and stablished IP), Skyrim (Which will be huge), Portal 2 (G.L.A.D.O.S), Zelda (Could bomb or surprise), Gears 3 (Modest Chance), MW3 (Unlikely though), Battlefield (Might do it) and a lot more.
Uncharted 2 had Assassins Creed II (Fair defeat), Batman (It wasn't a hyped stablished game), CoD (Which, honestly, wasn't competition for U2) against it, and almost nothing else.
