OT: Pffffff. If Sony cared about sales, they wouldn't have a first party at all.
Convert it into a true 3rd person survival horror game. Use the God of War engine and it could be incredible. I'd buy it, and I've never bought a Resistance game new. R1 and 2 I bought used purely because they were dirt cheap. Turns out my boys developed a taste for FPS in general and Resistance in particular, so between them they'll be buying R3 and a couple of navi controllers so they can play it using Move without the hassle of using the DS3. Me I still won't be playing it, well I might play a few hours with Move, but not likely to play through the whole thing.
But a first person survival horror (with or without Move) would definitely be my thing.

you mean like 360 owners cared about metro 2033, about alan wake, about crackdown 2, about bulletstorm, about crysis 2, about most of the latest kinect games... ? warm welcome indeed.
you also seem to forget that the preorders here are only from north america, where the xbox has almost twice as much install base then the ps3, i would say preorders don't look that bad from that point of view.

Its funny that some people think R3 is the last game in the series. Well I thought the same until I listened to the IGN podcast were they had a developer on the show.

Talk to me when we stop buying Halo and Gears. Flagship exclusives. Resistance used to be such a one for PS3. Guess it diminished.....a lot.
Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
I would like to see Insomniac try something new that's not a 1st or 3rd person shooter, or at least bring Ratchet and Clank to multiple platforms. Love that series!

It will probably do 2m-ish, which is just about fine. People need to stop thinking everything under 5 million is terrible. Not every Sony game can be an Uncharted, let alone a Call of Duty.
Now compare this to Motorstorm Apocalypse. It's out for 25 weeks now, and it barely sold 180k WW. THIS is disappointing.
