When I play Contra, I don't die until the factory level. Am I pro enough for this?

The level of arrogance one gets from the demon's souls hardcore community is amazing.

Not sure if you are one of them though. But I have seen a lot of "gamers" who act like its some kind of an achievement to play demon's souls or to like its difficulty.

As time goes on gamers will be younger and younger, so obviously they will ask questions.

It's more the fact that people are going to buy this game without really knowing what they're in for. They're going to charge at a group of 3 minion enemies thinking to despatch them without taking too much damage and wind up dead. It's no arrogance on the part of people who've played the game, it's knowing that people like the one who asked about multiple game saves are going to be surprised by what they find. Those people will either end up hating the game or loving it.

People who've merely even read forum threads about Demon's Souls and understood the nature of the game without every having played it will be going in with their eyes open. So it's nothing to do with having played DS. 360 / PC only gamers can prep themselves for Dark Souls easily enough without having to play Demon's Souls first.

Telling people who've never played Demon's Souls that it's easy is not very good prep. Because people who hear that it's easy mostly have the standard ARPG frame of reference for what's easy so it's not really all that helpful to tell people who've not experienced Demon's Souls that it's easy. Sure, it's easy when you know how to play it properly and you respect the game. But if you don't play it properly then you get your arse kicked.

i have to agree with mantlepiecek, the first time i saw this behavior was on youtube comments on a gameplay vid. It's definately arogance and i think a tinge of vextation that the game has gone multiplat (this is what i got reading through the comments). So they take this route for some form of validation? I'm definantely getting the game (collectors)but the last thing i want to hear is someone who played a similar game (last i checked no one has played Dark Souls sans Japan)telling me how much im gonna get raped by some invasion aspect in the game. That said, weren't they "noObs" when they first picked up Demon Souls?

I never got the thief's ring on the first time. It's not needed for a soldier either way. Prior to actually starting out the game at 1-1, I gave the Knight, Wanderer, Royal, and Soldier a test run in training. I liked the soldier best thanks to the spear.

NIce attitute though. "I suck, so he MUST suck as well :D :D :D :D, anytyhing else is either checking stuff out on the internet or lies XD XD XD XD"

It's more like "many people gave up and here we have yet another (boring) champion claiming he went straight through it". The average player found that game very hard if not impossible. Playing Demon's Souls like one plays Oblivion is sure death. You passed 1.1 in two rounds? Very good for you. You must be naturally skilled. I still find hard to beieve that just the training session gave you the clue about the game mechanics. I passed it myself without dying and then I failed 1.1 miserably. But that's ok. Still this doesn't change the fact that Demon's Souls has a long learning curve. That experience is made through death. And that anyone bragging "I made it in a couple of rounds, thus is not that hard" is annoying the least.

Regarding starting online, not having checked any guide apart from hints about which was the best class to start (so since I like magic I chose Royalty, but I believe now Temple Knight is much better for beginners), I could have no clue that there was such a thing like world tendency: Even less that it could change "as a gift". I nearly ignored the message when it appeared. Only after days I understood what it meant. Oh, now I remember: it was the Halloween special event. Bloody Pure Black World Tendency since the beginning. Check my trophy list (PSN: Michelasso) if you don't believe me. First trophy: November 3rd, 2009.

Now feel free to brag away. Thank you.

I wonder if Dark Souls will have a pause button....

"I don't know what this Yamcha is, but it sounds just like Raditz."

I honestly think if I would ever play this game I would have a serious mental breakdown lol
I have Anger Problemz

You passed trining without dying, killing the vanguard and then failing 1-1? :O

Also, why are you justifying yourself? All I was saying is that the game has good difficulty and that players these days are pampered as to why they call it really hard. Naturally talented? Sadly, no.

Bring it on. Games are too damn easy these days anyway, I welcome the challenge.

Demons Souls had overrated difficulty, but that doesn't mean it was easy. The first 4 demon's were very challenging, and their worlds, but after that you get used to the flow. Not that there werent more challenges later in the game.
