It has to be random for their open world to work.

Plus if you look at famitsu's score for Dark Souls vs. Demons Souls, Dark Souls score is much higher and Demons Souls got a lower score because they complained about it being too hard.

I doubt that it will be... hence, like DS.

Plus, don't trust Famitsu. They rate based on hype.

But to be like Demons Souls it will have to be a linear experience. Dark Souls supossedly is completely open.

Completely, eh?

I guess I'll see really soon!

I wonder if Dark Souls will have a pause button....

No, there still isn't one.

Oh god dammit!!!

There will be bonfires you can rest at to regain health and save your progress, so you might be able to take breaks there safely even though you can't pause. Unless monsters attack you at the bonfire. I'm not sure how that will work exactly. But I do know that apparently using a fire resets all of the mobs in the area. Fun times!

Something tells me giant dragons will wait 10 feet away from the bonfire ready to devour you as you step through an invisible line/barrier that triggers them...I really don't know why I'm looking forward to this game. LOL

Here's a good article about Dark Souls difficulty--http://kotaku.com/5842968/dark-souls-my-first-24-hours-in-hell

It looks like it's harder but in an easier way (if that makes sense lol)

You may die and get sent back to the bonfire but most destinations probably won't be as long as a whole freaking level in Demons Souls.

How is Demon's Souls linear?

Demons Souls is linear (i'm only speaking of the first level that i've played) because it's not open world. AKA like Fallout, Elder Scrolls, ect.

Yeah um, the game isn't linear at all...play a little more and you'll see.

No, there still isn't one.

I have to say I think they are absolutely retarded dicks for not putting a pause button in TBH.

That is the thing I hate most about these games because I have to pause games quite often to do other things or because i'm interrupted.

No, but you are not forced into any order of level completion (much)
