This is gonna be interesting. I mean without the cutscenes doesn't Final Fantasy XIII barely fit on one DVD? I don't see this game having much variation, but filled with lots of dungeon repetition and probably a town. I mean even comparing to Infinite Undiscovery which barely had FMVs, the game wasn't even that long and on two DVDs.

AFAIK Skyrim comes in one DVD, and you can't say by the gameplays leaked it's linear, repetitive, or it has bland graphics. The problem isn't the space per se, it's how you use it.

small game huh. extra dlc for monsters etc. makes sense... more like incomplete

more proof that we need a next gen now! but no getting a blu ray player has really cost us great games this gen :(

It's sad that so many people believe this. More space helps, of course, but it's not the major bottleneck in this generation consoles. Graphic power and bandwidth, and ease of development, are the most important bottlenecks.

but imagine the more content and the more feature's games would have if xbox had a blu ray!

I bet you have to pay for those extra monsters. and how much you want to bet killing them will grant you trophies or achievements.

Great so the game will be about 20 hours long. Awesome...

They probably went the way of XIV and reused every single asset. So expect the maps to look identically the same but shifted slightly >.>

The source seems a bit sketchy, I'm not so sure about it.

If it is true, then as a CGI whore, I'm disappointed.

Linear or bland, no.  Repetitve?  Quite possibly.   You can have 10 forrests in the game, for instance, with trees, rocks, rivers varied throughout, but that doesn't change the ground textures, tree, textures, etc.  Same with towns, and dungeons.  Like, most games I see now a days have maybe 3 or 4 set peices and just reuse those set peices over and over again.

Do people really have a problem with disc swapping? it takes like 30 sec to change discs.
Do anyone even remember the old FF games? I loved having 3-4 discs

I'm too old for that! sure it was fine when I was 16.. but now when I stand up I can feel all my bones crunching at to drag my fat belly all the way to the TV and console.. I would be out of breath and will probably fall down dead on the spot when I get back to my chair..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I prefer they use in game engine and release their games faster. Its a good news in this regard.
