FFX was to Sony and the PS2 what Mass Effect 1 is to Microsoft and the Xbox 360

can someone explain to me why this cant be done on 360 as ninja gaiden 2 was MS published and that came out on ps3 and FF7 was published by sony but the PSN version was published by S-E? and if I remeber right one of the older FF was published by nintendo and they were all ported to ps1?

Sorry but Halo, Gears and Fable far outwieghed Final fantasy for me. I have every console so I don`t miss out anyways but I would simply prefer playing it on X360 if the option becomes available. I did my research before making my console purchase. At the time of X360`s 2005 launch it was clear to me it was going to be able to satisfy all my gaming needs.

 

Keep in mind X360 has received a nice chunk of JRPG titles such as Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Magna Carta 2, Tales of Vesperia, Star Ocean:TLH, The Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery, Record of Agarest Wars, Final Fantasy 13, Eternal Sonata etc.

4 of those are only on X360, while 1 more is region exclusive and another is X360 console exclusive.  There has been plenty of JRPG goodness to satisfy fans who chose X360 over a PS3. 



 How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to Kinect &  PS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

well NG2 not published by MS,no MGS logo in the cover

As I most likely said previously (Can't remember if I said this exactly), but I'm sure Sony has something on Final Fantasy X, and may actually own the game itself.

I don't see why it won't. FF13 sold close to 2 million on 360, so it only makes sense to have it on 360 as well.

Also if it was exclusive, wouldn't they just announce its exclusive while showcasing it, especially since it was on Sony's stage, stuff like that is normally rubbed in your face if it happens.

This could only be otherwise if Sony paid money at some part of the remake's development, otherwise its coming to 360 as well imo.

Also that game is HUGE. FF XIII required 3 DL DVD on the X360. And that worked because SE dumbed it down making it very linear. The PS3 version is 38GB. In FF X one can switch from an area to another in the FULL world. X360 Arcade players would spend all time switching DVDs. 

The X360 may have a slightly better GPU, but the Blu Ray drive kills it. 


the ps2 used blu-ray?

As people have said: Sony surely had a say in it. You could also argue that it would have been announced for the 360 as well, why wait if it isn't PS3/Vita-only?

FFX was also published by Sony in regions on the PS2. With them likely having a say here, FFXIII sales would probably mean very little if that's the case. Think of it like Mass Effect for the 360;  will never be on PS3. Therefore, I don't expect to see FFX on anything but a PlayStation device.

I think the better question would be, if Bioware decided to remake Mass Effect 1 next gen, would it still have to be an Xbox exclusive?

If so, then FFX should only be on the Playstation brand.
