Forums - Nintendo - Fire Emblem 3DS UPDATE#3 - What a bunch of jerks.. takes place in Magvel( Sacred Stones setting) ...

I really need to get into Fire Emblem. I played SD last year and quite enjoyed it, but disliked the linear nature of the story. But then again, I shouldn't judge a series on a remake of a NES game, if people did that with Final Fantasy (referring to FFIIIDS) they would miss out of some of the best RPGs ever made.

I might track down PoR, and then RD soon

This is just the perfect game for the 3DS.

Agreed, give us some 3D Advance Wars that would be killer. Maybe mix Battalion and Advance Wars together. Move your troops around on a big RTS scale. Then when you enter battle actually control your unit, wouldn't that be awsome?

How about give us both? I'd like both.

Battalion Wars is over, I doubt we will ever see another one. The first game sold less then 100k and the second one only 300k, Kuju probably couldn't convince Nintendo to publish another one if they wanted too. The best out come I could see is Nintendo taking aspects from Battalion Wars and putting them into Advance Wars!

Actually I thought that Advance Wars had pushed a couple million copies. But it turns out it didn't do all that much better then Battalion Wars 2. Maybe their is hope for Battalion Wars after all.

Well, if nothing else, it would follow Nintendo's current strategy of turning mostly everything good into something bad. At least Battalion Wars won't be negatively affected, because it's already bad in the first place.

What I loved Battalion Wars, its a great game both the GCN version and Wii version. In fact the GameCube version was one of my favorite games last generation. The Wii version lacked online because while it existed nobody was ever playing and matches seemed a little off. But the campaign was still fun as hell!

I think mixing the two taking the best that both franchises have to offer would be awesome. Not damaging to Advance Wars at all!

Awesome, I loved the 2 GBA Fire Emblem games and hopefully this means they will be in the ambassador programme to hype up this :D

Really? I tried to like Battalion Wars 2 and I couldn't, only link I could find to AW where the units sprites.

OT: How does it compared to Radiant Dawn? Are they similar? Game does look interesting. Have to play the GBA games someday.
Also, the day I'll have to buy a 3DS is nearing, that's whenever Advance Wars comes out.
