What's wrong with releasing a proper pokemon game on a home console?

The original sold pretty well in Japan so this is a good move to boost a very weak holiday line up for Wii there. It would be nice if it was a more interesting game though.

A quick and dirty way to boost their Japanese holiday line-up. Wonder if other territories will even bother to bring it over. Probably if WiiU gets delayed as speculated.

I wish some other company had invented Pokemon... we'd have a massive MMO world right now even bigger than WoW or Everquest.

Nintendo seems to think that technology and the average gamer's mindset is firmly stuck in 1998. I'm surprised they actually gave the DS/3DS WiFi capabilities instead of making people buy link cables and card readers separately to trade/play with others.
