Well, this weekend is looking kinda bleak. Looks like Hunger Games may have a shot at 400 million over the next couple of weeks afterall. :p

Personally, I think Bruno kind of hurt the Sacha Baron Cohen brand because it alienated a good portion of his fans.

I was expecting the "What to Expect While You're Expecting" to be the chick flick comedy of the summer (since we seem to have one almost every year but that fell flat. I guess it's too early for a title like that anyway. Normally it comes around mid june to early july...

Is it wrong for me to be glad Battleship is doing as poorly as I originally hoped it would? I was expecting it to do well because i keep hearing people talk about wanting to see it...and well, I guess I just know people with bad taste in movies. :D

The chick flick comedy of the summer is Think Like a Man.

I was checking the biggest weekends (1st - 12th) and Avengers, Avatar have most of them early on but then out of nowhere Titanic got a big boost and takes the top spot for a lot of weekends. What was going on back then?

http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=weekend&id=titanic.htm

It only opened in 2,674 theatres. It kept increasing in theater count until  it's 16th weekend. That + good WOM caused some never-before-seen legs.

The ship has legs! What kind of a monster is that

A monster that Battleship will never be

Quite frankly wether you wanna believe it or not Titanic had some of the best WOM ever (and deservedly so)...hence the ginormous legs.

Did you know Titanics HIGHEST single day gross was Feb 14th...months after its official release.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey
