Rise,my friend ..
The hype for TDKR was huge because of Batman Begins which was way better movie and Heath Ledger death. Cant see this time around Batman 3 breaking any records.

In the coming weeks there will be more then enough worthy competition. The Dark Knight Rises has a much better change at making over $500 milion domestically. It has a better track record The Dark Knight did it and it being released on July 20th relatively late in the summer movie season it faces a lot less worthy competition in the weeks after its release. |
The Dark Knight Rises and The Avengers have nothing in common. I don´t see why you compare them. I am sure that Batman will make a lot of money, but it´s absolutely possible that the Avengers will get trough the 500mil mark. Batman and Avengers are not direct competition, the Avengers won´t be in the cinemas anymore when Batman starts.
Avengers! Can't wait to go see it. Glad to see Marvel movies do well, as that means there will be more.
Kinda figured Avengers was going to do amazing numbers worldwide, especially after reports of it having the highest south african opening ever. I know we a small country but dam, if its happening here its bound to be happening else where.
