I think its probably mostly evangelicals that are probably promoting it in church.  I know that Christian Bale will play the lead as Moses in Exodus and that it will also co star Aron Paul and Joel Edegton as Rasmses which is a total miss cast since he doesn't look like a Egyptian at all.  Also regardless of wheter there was a historical Jesus or not The Passion of the Christ is more historical acurate then Son of God since its in the three comonly used languages that where used in the region during that time and since it also had a slightly higher budget its probably more historically acurate in other areas also.

I don't get Son of God and why people are spending money to see it.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the movie just a shortened version of the miniseries that was on T.V. last year?

Passion of the Christ was just more realistic imo.

Who played the best Jesus?  Willem Defoe

Yeah as far as I know its just footage from that awful Bible mini series from the History Channel.  Still haven't seen The Last Temptation of Christ so I have no idea who played the best Jesus.

Frozen just released in Japan this weekend, and made most of Frozen's gross this weekend.

Interesting that Frozen is on dvd next week, but is still doing well in theaters.

Also, with 200 million in promotion and pre-production thank god Need for Speed will be a smash hit overseas.

I was surprised by Frzoen coming out on dvd next week.

It's still doing well enough to be in theaters for another month or more.

spurgeonryan said:
Exactly^ They must be trying to get prepared for spring break.

That could be true and to get more theaters for the Muppet movie coming out next week and less competition for it.

The Lego Movie will be over $400 million world wide soon and its still a month before it hits all major territories should easily make over $500 million eventually.

At least one Disney 3D remake should fill the void in the animation this summer, it's either 'The Incredibles' or 'Ratatouille'.

Personally, i wouldn't mind watching both on the big screen, especially Incredibles, DAT SOUND!
