BoxOfficeMojo thinks DM2 can reach $900 million. I hope it will achieve that.
We Are The Millers Doing really good. If this continue, it has a shot at $150 million!

Decent for Riddick, that is if the advertising costs aren't too large. We're the Millers has another great hold ( 27% ) with that number, and is on track to reach around $145M in NA alone with a $37M budget.
That, along with The Conjuring ( currently at $134.5M with a $20M budget), accounts for a profitable summer for Warner Bros.
I just wish I could say the same for Sony.
Riddick did pretty good considering its budget is less then half of the first movie and its rated R unlike the first one which was PG-13 which allows a narrower audience.

Impressive average/theater for Instructions not Included.
That movie came out of nowhere to gross $20 million dollars since its mostly in Spanish its probably very popular in areas that have a large latino population its also the reason why its not showing on a lot of screens. It has a chance to outgross Pan's Labyrinth and become the highest grossing domestic Spanish language movie.
Riddick should make that budget back, no idea about marketing.
I know Ecuador a is small and irrelevant market, but the new DBZ movie premieres next week and I think it could have the highest opening of all time here. (Currently Iron Man 3 - 1.4 Million)
I just thought it could be interesting, as that trend will definitely NOT spread worldwide.
| spurgeonryan said: Are you saying there is a Dragon Ball Z movie coming out^? |
It released eariler on the year in Japan, and will come out in here next week.
I don't think it will release in 2013 in the U.S, though. It's called DBZ: Battle Of The Gods.
| spurgeonryan said: Hmm.. Does it have the same cast that was in the last Dragon Ball Z movie? There was another movie right? Did mediocre in the States, but really well overseas if I remember correctly. |
It's animated.
It did an acceptable 30M in the Japanese box office. The other one wasn't so hot here either but this one is already sold out and it's being hugely advertised.
I suppose time will tell.
