the first MGS , you mean the one in shadow moses? then you'll like this one.

I think pretty much anyone could enjoy this game, you have to be okay with stealth to some degree, but you can go guns blazing so long as you isolate people. You have to play it smart, but you don't have to sneak around, but you will find you do as you get into the game

Seriously, it is a really great game and everyone should pick it up!

It's not entirely first person. The stealth and cover system relies on 3rd-person perspective and most of the conversations are dealt in 3rd person.

Basically, the game is fantastic. Everyone needs to buy this game as it's a showcase of what's possible when a developer devotes time and passion rather than copying the most popular formula on a tight deadline. And once you've bought and played it, buy a copy of the original Deus Ex (if you haven't already got it) and realise how few games in the last 11 years have come close to the level of interation, storytelling, playstyle and choice offered in these games.

I had to choose between Deus Ex and Dark Soul's. I chose Dark Soul's. I will get it eventually. Just waiting for my next student check. :P

Well good because Deus Ex >> MGS. That also holds for this iteration, though their 2nd installments are just about equally shitty.
