from a consumer perspective - this is a fantastic idea just as the portal 2 cross platform purchase was a fantastic idea.

from a development perspective - i have a hard time believing they will want to support this. more work for no more pay. sony better make this porting very very very very very very very easy to get any uptake from developers.

^^ Dont forget they will still sell the game for Vita. They give you Vita license when you purchase the PS3 version. Like how Blu ray movie also include the DVD. The only thing they will really loss is from the few people who would purchase both version at retail price (obviously a very small minority). Im pretty sure thats how it works. Bottom line, if its already develop and sold for Vita, might as well include a license in the PS3 box of the game. Seems like a smart move to me.

"Only...if the price is right." ...I wouldnt mind this one bit only if it wont be so expensive. At max $10 more than the price of a single game tho that's still looking pricey at $70. Reminds me of those Blu-ray/DVD combo movies which are now turning into 3D BR/BR/DVD/Digital combos...that's a bit much however lol.

Well, I could see this happening... I wouldn't even mind if the game with a vita copy (didn't read OP, so, I'm going to assume free digital download to save production costs) If they priced it 20 bucks over the standard version of the game...

So, 80 bucks to have two copies of the game... Not bad. I know I'm getting SFxT for Vita... PS3 too, if I get Juri. And, there will probably be other games I want.. Just haven't found anything yet... I'm more concerned about web-browsing (shut up) music and videos... as, my PSP died on me back in april.

Oh, and Mortal Kombat, too, assuming it is released for vita... but, wth else could NRS be making for vita? Gimme my SF, and Mortal Kombat. And, if they're perfect, I want cross-gameplay between PS3/Vita.

This will force PSV and PS3 to get Playstation Plus for Cloudstorage right?

I am very interested in this feature. Since I play a lot of RPGs--many involving large amounts of grinding (NIS)--there are times I wish I could do all that grinding on the go, through out the day whenever I have time. I can then come home and continue with the main quest on my TV. I've wanted it for years. I can only hope many games utilize this feature; unfortunately it appears it may be restricted only to PS3 games with a PSV counterpart.

Pretty good, that way you can sell the pita version and not worry about the price of PS3 games anymore.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

But there isn't a Dark Souls Vita...is there?

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.
