I don't think this would be very successful. Your target audience would be people who own both consoles and want your game and want to play in on both devices.

I'm going to quote this one day.

Because you think I'm wrong?

Please, elaborate.

Because this feature may yet gain a following.

I don't know, I just don't see it being very demanded, but maybe it's just me. I admit it would be very cool for certain occasions, like when you leave on holidays you can take your games with you and continue where you were. But I think it's only going to be a part of the hardcore audience that demand this.

We'll see.

Yes. We'll see.

The main reason publishers are interested is NOT because they think people will flock to use the feature BUT that the feature will differentiate their game from other games in the market.

How many FPS games are there in a year? But how many can you play on multiple devices using the same saves or profiles?

That's how I think SONY is marketing it to developers anyway.

As long as I only have to pay for one game, I really wouldn't mind.

They will probably still sell the game on Vita. I guess you'll get a Vita license with your PS3 game, thats different. Since people will not go and purchase both version at retail price anyway, it doesnt really cost anything to the developers. Beside, it was stated that is quick and easy to port from PS3 to Vita.

This is quite genius, actually. People were complaining about PSP's horrid attach rate. This way Sony will force you to buy Vita games even if you don't want to! :-p

Its a great idea as long as the don't charge higher prices

I don't see why this is a negative. If anything; buying the same game twice is worse.

This is a good thing, the problem is will devs/pubs be willing to do somthing like this which will lose them possible profits. It's really hard to say if devs/pubs will jump onto this idea but it is good to see Sony taking the first step with one of their own games to be doing this system and that will hopefully give confindence in the devs/pubs to adapt it to.

i'm thinking Sony may offset royalties for this to be done!

OT: great idea for those who have oline but i'm sure you can save through the consoles aswell.

i think if they can prove the feature work well then this could be a great idea. it all depends on whether you want to game on the go when you need to go and can't be at home on the console.

3rd party would likely sell them together or seperate giving you the chance to chose.
