I find it hard to believe that people are getting 30+ mbps, someone explain.



This is nothing, wait 'till I get back to my studies... It should be even faster (though that one has limited bandwidth - 5 GB per 24 hours).

It is not that mysterious, my ISP Virgin Media offers speeds of 10, 20, 50 or 100mb download speeds (though 100mb is limited) through the magic of fibre optic
At uni, I get double the speed I get at home (45mb through wired) so it is far from impossible to get high speeds, and I don't think the UK is that good
