Forums - Sony - Little King's Story gets a Facelift for it's VITA Debut!

Hate to say it dude, but the 3DS is quite a bit more powerful than the PSP. A lot of the games out now only look slightly better than what's on the PSP, but in general the 3DS is even more powerful than the Wii (but all things given, that's not exactly saying much). If you look at Resident Evil: Revalations, you'll find that those graphics are pretty phenomal for it being on a handheld, and to most viewers it wouldn't look out of place playing on the Vita. That said, it's gonna be pretty rare finding future games of that graphical quality on the 3DS, but as a whole, RE:R should give you a good idea of just how much more powerful 3DS is over the PSP, and even the Wii.

And just to  put it out there, you can quote technical specs all day, but in the end it's how the games look that tell the real story.

Aside from tech demo's and Capcom's attempt at doing plenty of showcasing, there is nothing so impressive on the 3DS. I would argue GoW GOS is very close to that quality. Seen already Mercenaries 3D and those are good graphics definitely, yet nothing but a glorified minigame. If we are going on tech demo's then PS3's KZ2 should have been the second coming based on it, but as you could see that was not the case. So far what has been shown is less than impressive on the 3DS, needless to say it is not about the graphics but gameplay, and so far the lineup is fairly lacking. Ninty should have followed tradition and released a Mario game at launch or damn near launch but that's a discussion for another day as I am derailing this thread.

Depending on the circumstances it may or may not work to test out LKS as a timed exclusive on the more powerful console from a different company to see if the audience exists there. If it doesn't, nothing is there to stop them from porting it over to the 3DS along with the smartphone. For this however, timing is key. They cannot do something stupid like SE did with SO TLH, where they left their original audience on the Sony consoles to keep the game exclusive on the 360 and wait over a year to port it over to the PS3.

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.

I would definitely like to play this game when it comes out on Vita, but those graphics look like a Wii game, and the Wii version looks like an early GC title.

completely agree...and since I don't have any plans to buy a Vita ($250 for a handheld is wayyyyy to expensive in my opinion) I hope they make this multi-plat(esp on the 3DS)!!!  They could even make it a downloadable title for both PS3 and 360 for all I care; just port this over to the 3DS or even the Wii.

Nice stealth trolling but given your history I am not really surprised. This is a Sony discussion and if you wish for the game on the 3DS how bout creating a thread in your sacred Nintendo discussion forum? Furthermore how quickly we forget that the 3DS was in that price range and just slightly more powerful than a 6 yr old PSP. I do not expect this to sell unbelievably well but it sold crap on the Wii even though the audience is there. This would have a shot at selling well for the Vita if it's a launch or near launch title. Personally I was contemplating a Wii to play through several titles such as Muramasa, NMH (thankfully on PS3 now), LKS, RE rail series, Mad World, and perhaps TLS, but this helps my pocket a bit. Truth be told I have not gotten a system at launch as I tend to wait for longer term reviews (just about every system at entry tends to have some fault).

Chill with the animosity. If you know my history so well, youshould know I also thought the 3DS was way to expensive for a handheld. Esp with the advent of smart-machines and such.  Look I understand it's a Sony discussion but the original was on the Wii, so IN MY OPINION/ARDENT WISH this game should go multi-plat being a fan of the original series is all.  Obviously, you don't care for my opinion like I don't care for some of the ppl here; so why not ignore it?  No need for personal attacks dude...we are all grown-ups here.  BTW...I think your opinion of the PSP and 3DS almost on par is crap; yet I will igonore it since you "seem" to be  a big Sony fan( and looking at your history your are quite biased as well) and debate would be pointless.

I don't mean to make a mountian out of mole hill, but if you think that GoW: GoS is on pair with RE:R, then you're basically saying that the PSP is even more powerful than the PS2 (when it's quite obvious that PSP isn't quite up to PS2 standards). GoW: GoS is definitely an impressive game, but I don't think it quite matches up to GoW 2 on the PS2. And in comparison to RE:R, it's not a tech demo. Those are real graphics in real time on a game that's going to be coming out early next year. The polygon count of the character models in GoW: GoS are much lower than the character models in RE:R, the textures aren't as high-res, and the lighting isn't in the same league. Heck, with the 3D turned off in just Mercenaries, anti-aliasing is enabled. I don't like to call my opinions as fact, but the RE:R is graphically far ahead of GoW: GoS.

But in the end, it is the gameplay that matters most.

I don't know why people tell me to get a life. I'm a gamer, I have lots of lives!

So, the general consensus is that, with Sony glasses on, it looks better.

Can't you guys just appreciate that a niche game still exist, regardless of platform?

And with Nintendo glasses on it looks bad, but i agree with your second point

I am a Nintendo fan who has never owned a Sony console, yet I'm excited about this game. If a game is good enough, than console/ company preferance should be irrelivent. This is what I dislike about fanboyism, it gives people a one track mind and unable to open up to certain games just because it's on a competing console.

It's just like with the US (and probably Eurorpean) political system. People from one side of the political spectrum/one political party are often too stuborn to ever support a politicain from the other side, even if they seemingly have some great philosophies and ideas. My family tends to support almost anything of the democratic party (and I generally do as well), but when a politician with some great ideas and a plan for positive change like Ron Paul rolls around, they refuse to even hear about it since he happens to be republican. Biases do nothing but limit knowledge and potential.

unfortunately your probably one of the few ones who believe this and kudos to you

Actually as far as I can tell it is the other way around, at the very least on this site - most (not all) Nintendo fans here (I can't say about others since i haven't followed most of their posts) are very level headed, and it is reactions like yours and others in this thread that make discussion unpleasant, nigh impossible.

I have a suggestion for you and some others, who knows, you might be surprised with the results - why don't you try to respond to people as though what they are saying is not because of some strong bias, and see what happens. Disagreeing is fine, dismissing people's opinions "because they are fanboys/haters" is insulting

I suggest that you either leave this thread and stick to Vita official thread or admit that this game lost its charm, looks like crap

and on the wrong platform.
