They keep claiming to be above it, but always respond to anything said (here and in other threads) as though the reason behind any opinion not in line with theirs is fanboyism/console adversity. While that just reflects on them, it is still irritating since it prevents any normal discussion. OT - I can't speak for others, but when I say on a sales site that something is imo on the wrong platform I mean that imo this will sell less well than had they put it elsewhere. That is my opinion, and nothing to do with what consoles I own. Had I been the business owner (I am by the way, just not of a games developing company) I would have made such a game multi platform. Only putting it on the 3DS would have (again imo) also been a bad choice. And when I say the game doesn't look that good to me it has nothing to do with the platform choice, so answering that it looks better than it did on the Wii is again the wrong answer. |
Finally somebody making sense in here.

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles
Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped: the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA
bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.
something is very wrong with these screens... Considering the screen size and that this will use the multitouch, can any of you tell me how you tap the bottom icons without a stylus?... no no one? I guess a 3 year old's fingers might be able to but adult fingers, way too fat.
well maybe the icons are just for info? (and they are so small that the only info is how many troups, not even which type of troups).... are you guys sure this isn't a PSN/XBLA game?

I am a Nintendo fan who has never owned a Sony console, yet I'm excited about this game. If a game is good enough, than console/ company preferance should be irrelivent. This is what I dislike about fanboyism, it gives people a one track mind and unable to open up to certain games just because it's on a competing console.
It's just like with the US (and probably Eurorpean) political system. People from one side of the political spectrum/one political party are often too stuborn to ever support a politicain from the other side, even if they seemingly have some great philosophies and ideas. My family tends to support almost anything of the democratic party (and I generally do as well), but when a politician with some great ideas and a plan for positive change like Ron Paul rolls around, they refuse to even hear about it since he happens to be republican. Biases do nothing but limit knowledge and potential.
I have a feeling with the fan reaction here that this WILL get a 3DS and a Wii port!!!
Some Japanese companies unfortunately are not very clever these days.
According to VGC LKS on Wii was 6 times/5 times more successful in NA/PAL regions than in Japan. This franchise has potential in the west.
From an economic standpoint I think it would be best to put the game on 3DS/smartphones/tablets/PSV.

It's great that LKS gets a sequel/2nd game, but in my opinion they removed the most interesting part, the word ''Little''
now we are left with a ''King's Story'' : (
LKS sold 250,000 on Wii, I wonder if this game will sell any further, Xseed marketing is bad, do they make any profit at all!? I hope they do cause their games (especially Wii ones) are awesome and deserve something more
don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Nice stealth trolling but given your history I am not really surprised. This is a Sony discussion and if you wish for the game on the 3DS how bout creating a thread in your sacred Nintendo discussion forum? Furthermore how quickly we forget that the 3DS was in that price range and just slightly more powerful than a 6 yr old PSP. I do not expect this to sell unbelievably well but it sold crap on the Wii even though the audience is there. This would have a shot at selling well for the Vita if it's a launch or near launch title. Personally I was contemplating a Wii to play through several titles such as Muramasa, NMH (thankfully on PS3 now), LKS, RE rail series, Mad World, and perhaps TLS, but this helps my pocket a bit. Truth be told I have not gotten a system at launch as I tend to wait for longer term reviews (just about every system at entry tends to have some fault).
Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)
I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/ hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.

Well that honestly depends on the company. If Sony bothers to help with marketing efforts or pour some money into the game, it becomes worth it for a company to remain exclusive even if it is temporary. Sony has been very supportive of smaller devs. In this case however, it wouldn't be a bad idea for LKS to be multiplat. I am surprised the game wasn't big in Japan considering they tend to fall for cutesy characters.

Hate to say it dude, but the 3DS is quite a bit more powerful than the PSP. A lot of the games out now only look slightly better than what's on the PSP, but in general the 3DS is even more powerful than the Wii (but all things given, that's not exactly saying much). If you look at Resident Evil: Revalations, you'll find that those graphics are pretty phenomal for it being on a handheld, and to most viewers it wouldn't look out of place playing on the Vita. That said, it's gonna be pretty rare finding future games of that graphical quality on the 3DS, but as a whole, RE:R should give you a good idea of just how much more powerful 3DS is over the PSP, and even the Wii.
And just to put it out there, you can quote technical specs all day, but in the end it's how the games look that tell the real story.
I don't know why people tell me to get a life. I'm a gamer, I have lots of lives!
