Seeing how "Atheist/Agnostic/Pastafarian/Jedi" is an option, I don't really not what to answer. That's because I'm not sure what I believe in right now. It's somewhere between "Christianity" and "Atheist/Agnostic/Pastafarian/Jedi".

But if we talk purely about religions, Buddhism is probably the way to go.

I'm christian and I chose christainity because I just wanted to see the results. What's a Pastafarian(I know I could have just wiki-ed it)? And if Jedi refers to the same ones in the Star Wars series and not a real word I don't know off, then that would have to be my answer, but honestly, no amount of force could make me change my belief. I'd more easilly believe that I don't exist than doubt my faith, I've had more than enough solid proof.

pastafarianists believe in the flying spaghetti monster - it's a joke religion.

Jedi is the star wars jedi, yes. It's a custom to put jedi on your census form instead of no religion for some bizarre reason

I would die before being forced to change my religion.

However if I was not Christian

I have seen posts by you claiming to be a right winged, pro-military anti-social welfare supporter. It is one thing to call yourself a Christian, it is quite another to oppose some of its core principles which include non-violence, anti-warfare, and social welfare.

The great irony of the Modern World is that Christianity is most often associated with political philosophy which the bible excplicitly opposes.

What if you are certain the enemy is evil? Matthew 5:42 states "Do not resist one who is evil." and is followed by 5:43 which states "Love your enemies; pray for your persecutors."

"Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword" (Matthew 26:52) Shows that Jesus dislikes those who are violent; going so far as to condemning them to death by the sword. It is not so much a warning against picking up the sword, but as a statement to his peaceful followers stating that the savage warriors will die by savagery themselves.

Right winged Conservatives are like the Pharisees, Jesus was very Liberal, and very much against the Pharisees.

If you are slapped, offer the other cheek.

Gandhi was very liberal as well, and a follower of Jesus as well as other faiths. He followed the path of Christ far better than those who claim to be Christian, but are indeed merely the puppets of Pharisees.

you do realize God helped the nation of isreal fight wars, and kill people. War and going to war are certainly permitted by the Bible.

also Jesus would certainly not be supporting liberalism. things things like charity and helping your neighor are supposed to be done by the individual. its not giving or Godly if you are forced to do it. in fact the Bible has many parables that certainly do not put people like tax collectors and tyranical governments in positive light.

and if in case you didnt know conservatives give vastly more to charity than liberals do. you know the thing Jesus asked people to do, at of the goodness of your heart, not becuase your forced to

Like go to war and murder people, and hate homosexuals, so loving, from the goodness of your heart

ive done all that stuff, thats news to me

Christianity just because it's one of those religions where you don't have to follow the religion and the leader, you're just there to add up to the christian population.

Roman/Greek or Norse are the only other ones I would consider. Roman and Greek Mysteries that is. Norse, because it is derived from the traditional beliefs of my ancestors.

I picked Roman and Greek because of the vast sea of different faiths within their Empires; they absorbed many surrounding cultures, and had highly philosophical beliefs. The Pythagoreans and many of the Mysteries of the Greek and Roman World are very similar to Christianity, and likely were its core roots when combined with the Hellenized Jewish community, and writing their faith after hundreds of years of philosophical and mystical experience. If you believe in love, the existence of that force beyond the harshness of earthly judgmenet, if you have felt that thin moment, then think of these people who dwelt and explored it for all their lives. Christianity, is a religion of love and forgiveness, of non-violent defiance of the establishment - and these Mysteries of the ancient Greeks and Romans are closest.

The irony as that the religion you choose as an alternative was persecuted, and ultimately wiped out by your present religion.

I don't see it that way. Christianity today is largely Nicenism; not what my family follows. The Nicenes not only persecuted the Greek and Roman mystics, but also persecuted Jews and all other forms of Christianity, including the true Christians - who were themselves mystics. Not to mention, the Nicenes were the ones who turned Christianity into a warlike faith, and slaughtered and murdered in the name of Jesus, and judged others as heretics and heathens if they were not Nicenes themselves. In my opinion, the Nicenes are NOT Christians, the history of their leaders is that of judgemental warmongering hypiocrites. The very fact that they turned into persecutors themselves shows that they are not true Christians - and worst of all, the persecutors of those very people who followed the earliest saints. The "Jesus" which the Nicenes follow has little in common with the actual Christ, and much in common with the antichrist.

The Nicenes (Catholics and the faiths descended from Catholics) follow a form of Christianity whose power arose from the politically superior (namely Emperors like Constantine and Theodosius). It was from these Emperors and their successors, the Kings and Emperors who claimed to be Christian, who would go throughout and persecute those who were not Nicenes. It wasn't until later that the supreme Capital of Western Christianity was in Rome; and while the Bible speaks of Babylon the unholy city, and its 7 peaks.... As we know Babylon is not a city which sits amongst the 7 peaks; there is only one city which is famous for its 7 peaks, and those peaks are: The Capitoline Hill, the Aventine Hill, the Palatine Hill, the Caelian Hill, the Viminal Hill, the Quirinal Hill, and the Esquiline Hill - and that City is Rome. Christianity is a religion of love and forgiveness. it is Rome's Nicene religion, branded as Christianity, that is one of judgment, fear, and persecution; those who follow them go to heaven, and everyone else goes to hell - typical fear driven religion of the Nicenes.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Now an atheist, would choose Judaism. If I'm forced to believe in an adult version of Santa Claus, I may as well be one of his chosen people.

It also makes for great trolling potential, since there are so many rabid antisemites around nowadays, who are buttmad because Israel is so successful.

Then again, it's hard religion to join. Perhaps I could be a Muslim instead. Then I could make ridiculous demands and politically correct British society would bend over backwards to accommodate me, lest I call them racist. Hurrah for cultural relativism! Hurrah for dubious uses of the race card!

I would never forsake my God...though...those jedi powers are tempting :p

Glad to see Buddhism on top. Funny that no one has even voted for Hinduism and Scientology yet. Hopefully, Hinduism will at least beat out Scientology. I believe Buddhism is perhaps almost the best religion to follow. I have pulled a decent amount of religious concepts from Buddhism when I formed my own religion awhile ago.

Lol, i would die than give up on my belief in Christianity.

Well i will give a answer to this question then. I would probably choose Buddhism sense reincarnation sounds kind of promising. Even if i end up as a tree or a dog lol.

I seriously can't believe you actually believe some of the things you've mentioned in this post. So, essentially you're saying that there are actually almost no Christians in the world?
