The playstation nation disagrees with you.
They want cross game chat even more than ps2 emulation.
Sony lying about ps2 emulation is one of the reasons i chose xbox.
I can always play ps3 at my bros tho, but the fact that my huge ps2 library was unplayable on the ps3 left a bitter taste in my mouth....especially after sony hyped the ps3s capabilities for ps2 emulation to the high heavens
Once i got an xbox i realized how useful cross game chat really is. Glad to see the playstation nation agrees with me :)

What do you mean by that?
For me cross game chat isn't such a great feature. I mean none of my real-life friends are gamers so my friends list is filled with random people.

Sony lied about PS2 EMULATION being standard feature in all ps3s.
Sony taunted microsoft's xbox for not being backwards compatible and bragged that the ps2 would play over 1000 ps2 games
Less than a year after it launched all ps3 emulation and backwards compatibility was discontinued

"The situation is changing everyday, but on March 23, we expect the list to include over 1000 PS2 titles," Sony's president of worldwide studios Phil Harrison revealed to blog ThreeSpeech. Sony has noted that consumers expect backwards compatibility as a standard feature, especially since the full support was originally promised by the company"
