For online games it's good to communicate and joke around or brag about a great kill. In singleplayer games it's nice to have a little discussion as long as it doesn't break the immersion. Plus it's a great alternative to a telephone, it's a shame PS3 doesn't have many mics and cross game chat, most of my friends are on PSN. |
I know 3 people all with ps3s and they all want cross game chat.
I even patronized them by saying, is it really that big of a deal?
And they all said YES, they wanted cross game chat.
I use it all the time on xbox live. You can mute players you don't wanna hear and it helps with teamwork.
I don't have an unlimited cell phone plan so calling people by phone wouldn't work for me
