Forums - Sony - Cross Game Chat #1 Requested Feature on PSN - PS3 users want it MORE than PS2 Emulation!

I really couldn't give a fuck about cross game chat! I don't see the point in it either, why would I want to talk to someone if they're playing a completely different game than I am? Sure, chat is great if you're playing the same game, but I see no reason to be talking to someone if we're not playing the same game.

People who want cross game chat will go to playstation blog. People who don't want cross game chat or don't require it, won't really do anything.
So, the no. of people who actually care for cross game chat = 26000.

No. of people who don't = 50 million - 26000 = 49,974,000
% of people who care = Less than 1 %.

They are the niche.

One thing the Vita has over the 3DS......

Could Sony pull a Microsoft with the release of Playstation Vita? Or did they already screw it up by releasing after.......

Guys, if you think he's wrong or disagree, just state why. Calling someone a troll or complaining it's a flamebait thread doesn't do much but bump the thread. If cross game chat is important to you, tell us why. If something else is more important, tell us why.

If you think this is a pointless thread that needs to die, just don't post and let it die. I promise you, if I see someone needlessly bumping it to keep it alive, I will gladly ban them.

If you think this is a duplicate thread, find the duplicate, report this thread, and make sure to include a link to the duplicate thread in the report. If it's a duplicate I'll happily lock it and we'll be done with it. There's no need to post in this thread it's a duplicate.

These are not the same threads.

Also I would like cross game chat for the ps3 but its not possible I guess. The 360 showed me how fun it is to talk to my friends why we play different/the same games.

Too bad it's not possible to due RAM issues.
I don't really care. All I care about are the games.

The playstation nation disagrees with you.

They want cross game chat even more than ps2 emulation.

Sony lying about ps2 emulation is one of the reasons i chose xbox.

I can always play ps3 at my bros tho, but the  fact that my huge ps2 library was unplayable on the ps3 left a bitter taste in my mouth....especially after sony hyped the ps3s capabilities for ps2 emulation to the high heavens

Once i got an xbox i realized how useful cross game chat really is. Glad to see the playstation nation agrees with me :)

what does that say about the xbox live community? they have the feature and yet only about 13 million ( of the 55 million + users ) bother to subcribe for gold membership to use it and play games online...

i really don't understand why so much people wanna talk to others when playing a video game... =_=

For online games it's good to communicate and joke around or brag about a great kill.

In singleplayer games it's nice to have a little discussion as long as it doesn't break the immersion. Plus it's a great alternative to a telephone, it's a shame PS3 doesn't have many mics and cross game chat, most of my friends are on PSN.

I know 3 people all with ps3s and they all want cross game chat.

I even patronized them by saying, is it really that big of a deal?

And they all said YES, they wanted cross game chat.

I use it all the time on xbox live. You can mute players you don't wanna hear and it helps with teamwork.

I don't have an unlimited cell phone plan so calling people by phone wouldn't work for me

you can mute players on psn btw... but i'm curious how does talking to people playing different games than you help with team work for people presumably playing the same game you are?
