Erm ... $ isn't quite on par with the £ yet |
Right, I meant Euros but I don't know how to make the sign. I thought the UK usually got screwed on pricing compared to the US?
Time for hype

Euros it's 249, same as US price.
Yeah we are getting screwed ... US gets a PS3 for $250 we get ours for $330

So why did the bus have 199 Euros on it?

It didn't? It had £199, like I said in my first post ...
PS3 can't beat 360 in the US even with a price cut?
Something is wrong here?
It's just that simple.

Apparently I don't know the difference between the pound sign and the euro sign!
Time for hype

Doubtful. Our sales as the number 1 retailer in the country don't reflect that at all. If anything it should stabalize right around the 40-45% margin for a couple weeks till Gears 3 release. 1. People upgrading consoles from the old fat models to newer better Slims 2. People buying pre-owned. Many who buy a new console buy pre-owned games with it to keep the overall cost as low as possible. |
If I am correct you guys are number 1 for software but not for new hardware ( I said new, not refurbished and I mean consoles not peripherics).
But yeah I don't expect a huge boost, it's more going to stabilize to a long term medium increase. One thing to note too is that the huge boost on 3DS came after very bad weeks as people delayed their purchase, there was hardly any purchase delayed for the PS3..
Edit : I double checked and Gamestop had a 12% revenue share of the new hardware business in 2010, I strongly doubt that is the number one in the country...

The price dropped on Aug 17th. So not 2 or 4 days, but 3. OT: Seems the PS3 boosted mdoerately considering the few days it had in the data. Next week should see it higher with an increase in sales throught holidays (albeit, not as big as it will be in EMEAA). |
If it dropped on 17th then it's 17th + 18th + 19th + 20th ...

3 full days of sales. I can't imagine the increase on Day 1 was anything substantial (especially at retail). |
It's still a day 0_o you can't discount it just to make the situation look better. It was announced on the 16th, so it had a full day on the 17th ...
