um no. I don't see how she can become as popular as "the King". It just won't happen IMO. Now if she died not too long from now then her fame may come close to him, but still not get to that point.

In 5 years I would expect that (somewhere around) 80% of her current fans to be ashamed to admit that they were once liked her ... So I doubt she will be 'as big as Elvis'

Well, Elvis is kinda lame nowadays TBH.

Er, very unlikely, she'd have to have a few more amazing albums, and die young.

And since she doesn't appear to be a drug addict or an alcoholic, this is (fortunately) unlikely.

I think that Lady GaGa is an exceptional talent who is able to reach people of every age and social group. She is unconventional, fresh and strangely hawt. The only problem is that people are getting used to her and her being the way she is and so she is going to get a bit less exciting and her unconventionality is going to turn into a "it's only GaGa again...".
Especially her latest album doesn't seem to have the fire "The Fame Monster" did.
So, I think I'd vote for "no" as well. She's more like a Madonna anyway. And I think she might be able to live up to that reputation, too, making good music for decades and stuff. Anyways, go, GaGa. :}
