never understood why so many bitched about cross game chat, such a useless feature, and then call of duty is the best selling game on the console, which begs the question, why not just get a damn 360???

of all the things fans should be asking for, things the ps3 is more than capable of, they want that bullshit....

Poor topic title, the article clearly says that the games already use up the available ram not that ps3 doesn't have enough ram. If it had twice as much ram it wouldn't make a difference if games already used it all.

technically you can talk to someone who is playing a different game, its called picking up your damn phone and calling them, i do it all the time

It makes me sad so many people don't care for cross-game chat. There are some features on XBL and PSN people use and some people don't use like Netflix, HOME, ESPN, Hulu, etc, but cross-game chat is one of those features everyone, I mean EVERYONE uses. I don't know a single person on XBL that doesn't use cross-game chat or doesn't like it because it's just one of those features that have just makes XBL so damn good. The people that say they don't care for cross-game chat and either liars or have never used the feature before so they don't know how awesome it really is.

Good, maybe you can give me an example of how you typically use it.  I only have a PS3, and I hear tons about Cross-Game Chat, but I still fail to understand how its typically used.  You sign into XBL, you boot up a game of skate 3.  You jump in a channel in which a few of your XBL friends are on and playing other games?  I make a comment like that was a sick line, another friend shoots someone in the head on COD, and the third is playing an RPG that has no multiplayer at all and he just casted wizards breath.

So if this is true, you cant really talk about the game.. you just talk about school or homework or who is the biggest dousche on Jersey Shore?  If this is the typical application, then I could seriously care less.

What does sound applicable to me would be if Im online playing skate and my friend wants me to join his game of COD, he chats me up to tell me to join his game blah blah.. then we go do that and chat inside game.  Similar to a join game request, just done in a 30 second conversation?

all i can say is I'd rather have it than not have it. but its still not a very important feature to me, i would hardly, if ever use it. heck i barely use regular voice chat when im playing. i find it distracting, and propbably even more so if they were playing a different game.

A lot of people just get headsets to complain with about losing.
