I'm not interested in the game itself, but the company does slip some info here and there from time to time.

The PS360-Version of Darksiders used only 720p (or below) and had an uneven frame rate. I don't know if its possible to fix this issues on PS360 with Darksiders 2, perhaps only if they degrade graphics.
I think the Wii U Version of Darksiders 2 will be at 1080p with smooth animations. Perhaps some higher resolution for the Textures or other new stuff they could add easily.

Yah didn't Miyamoto say 1080p 60-frames a second would be standard on WiiU? That alone means the version will be superior to the PS3 or 360 version. Honestly I bet the PC version isn't amazingly improved from the console versions but I'd guess that it will definatly be an improvement over the PS3/360 versions.
Keep in mind also EA said BattleField3 could run on WiiU, I recall they never specifically said the PC version but I'd guess since WiiU is obviously going to be more powerful then PS3 that they were refering to the PC version. Then if that is true and WiiU could handle the PC version of BattleField3 then we are in for one major treat.
I bet Nintendo is beefing up the hardware as we speak. At the time of E3 IBM stated they were still working on the WiiU. So Nintendo seeing 3DS going down might also be beefing up the hardware a bit. Since the WiiU shown at E3 was a work in progress and final dev kits had yet to be issued I'd say we may only be on the tip of the ice berge as far as knowledge of WiiU's capabilities are concerned!

No he didn't he did however say that "I don’t know that we would be able to sit here and say that it’s going to necessarily dramatically outperform the systems that are out now" the 1080p quote was I belive attributed to Reggie who was talking about out put at the time so was probably reffering to the ability to upscale and output @ 1080p like the 360 and most PS3 games do.
Also Digital foundry said that all the E3 demos including the Zelda demo was 720p 30fps with no AA even assuming that production hardware is 50% more powerful it is unlikely that many Wii U games will be 1080p tho Nintendo will probably amaze at 720p with their exelent art direction just like they did on the Wii with games like Mario Galaxy and Skyword Sword.
also official screen from nintendo.com 720p right click and open in new tab to see native resolution

nope.
Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto is more specific. At E3, he told GameSpot in a recently published interview that the Wii U may not “necessarily dramatically outperform the systems that are out now”. source
what you are thinking of is the quote Reggie made when interviewed by Geoff Keighley. "... it's going to be 1080p, it's going to be high definition." you might want to watch the quote itself though 'cause when put in context of the conversation the jump to "1080p 60 fps standard" has a huge lump of wishful thinking in it. i'm specifically referencing at how absolute Reggie is willing to say that the wii U will look as good as the ps360 and how much of a deflection he gives when asked if it will look better than the ps360. source (quote is around 4:30)
| disolitude said: Thats all great for WiiU. But what if PC graphics in question means 3 X 2560x1440 monitors in eyefinity or 3D vision surround? Oh I see Darksiders 2 won't support any of this..? DAMN YOU THQ!!! |
Stop flaunting it damn you!
@topic: And? Looking @ Darksiders on PC, there is no real difference aside from a higher resolution. How will this be any different?

Thank you for the info. I don't see why Reggie would have to deflect at all, developers already say its more powerful and they don't even have final kits. I'm pretty sure EA was refering to the PC version of BattleField3 I don't know why they would even bother talking about it being as powerful as the 360 as thats a given. But again EA never said PC version so I can't assume.
As for THQ this is great news and again proves the WiiU will be alot more powerful then the PS3. But maybe not drastic enough for Reggie to claim WiiU will be more powerful. In the end I'm hoping Nintendo has some horsepower up their sleeves because I don't think a last gen console will sell again next gen as well as Wii did this gen!

So they're limiting the PC graphics to the Wii U. Okay. Hopefully that's a bit better than limiting them to the PS3/360.
Because there is no way the Wii U will have specs to match what I think of as what's possible on PC.
Still, sounds good for Wii U itself in terms of capability.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Because PC's have more power than the Wii U, simple as that. If it runs just as well on the Wii U as on a high-end PC, there's something wrong with the coding (or it's a straight console port). |
So what you dont know how darksiders 2 is gonna run on pc I mean the original really didnt look much different than the console versions. Also it wouldnt be a coding issue if the wii u version looked just as good.
