Indeed, though there is a very high chance that would end in chaos if any radical from either side began to cause trouble. Sadly there isn't any clean cut solution, only partial solutions which will have their share of troubles. 

A "sexual freedom day" is more likely to end in an orgy than anything else

OT: I don't see why not. Mind you, I don't see why either. Heterosexuals don't really face discrimination, but if some of them want to march, they should feel free to do so, as long as it is as fabulous as the gay pride parades.

Whites aren't the only ones to practice slavery, they're the ones who went to the greatest lenghts to justify and institutionalize it. Also, I do not think anyone should be enslaved, though for some people I guess it would be a lesson in empathy.

That's awesome! I really hope they do this. And anyone who is against this should be considered a heterophobic, because if they're not allowed to have a straight pride parade then that is a massive double standard.

First things first, I have no problems with homosexuality.

What I do have a problem with is the "in your face" homosexuals. If you are going to be homosexual, the only thing that should change is your sexual preference, not your behaviour and attitude.

I can see why people want to host a "straight pride", because they are sick of having homosexuality forced in their faces and the media portraying gays as "perfect" people, like somebody already said, just watch an episode of Will and Grace.

That's just silly, I'm not hetrophobic and I am against this idea.

It really isn't that simple. think WHY gays have one, think WHY black people celebrate their culture and such. There is a REASON for it. White people and straight people have never had to face prejudice.

Gay pride and celebrating black history isn't about being racist against whites and hetrophobic. White pride and straight pride .. really? It'd be singling black and gays out. If you don't get that then ... damn. It's ABC ...

and about the "privileges", here in Brazil APPARENTLY (I couldn't confirm this, sorry) there were plans for quotas in public schools for gay teachers and scholarships for transexuals.

as I said, it's MOSTLY about intolerance, however, there's this increasing sense here in Brazil that if you're part of a minority the government will make your life easier (we have racial and social quotas for universities with absolutely questionable criteria)
